I'm not sure why the customer is saying this since we have an appointment today, Monday Dec12, for her to pick up her scooter in about an hourI have texted [redacted] several times and confirmed with her yesterday about the return of a fully operating, repaired [redacted] scooterHopefully, she will enjoy the excellent performance and tuned up scooter with new batteries

Actually I have spoken with *** *** on several occasions; however, not recentlyIn December or early Jan2016, I spoke at length with her about issues that had to be addressed before the scooter could be sold; I had spoken with her earlier in the summer and told her the same thing and
what it cost to doShe had been told of these issues months before and has repeatedly acted as if we never have talked about these problemsThe ego scooter was originally brought to my shop in the fall of a couple of weeks prior to my moving from a large store site in Austin TX to a small repair area in Manor TXThe scooter was not thoroughly examined at the time it was brought in, all that was checked was that it ranShe claimed that the batteries in the scooter were less than a year old and that everything was fine which I later found out was not the caseI and my shop make it clear with a consignment sale that the scooter's owner that is responsible for any repairs needed to make the scooter sellable and that those costs would be deducted from the owner's share of the saleThe customer is also notified that if the item does not sell at the original price within 30-day we will start reducing the price until it sells*** did not offer any objections to this and she has been a long time, loyal customer of our shop, buying this scooter (which was a used scooter sold to her origfor about $1000) and another inexpensive electric bike for her daughterThere were several issues which had to be fixed before anyone would buy it and the scooter was actually returned to me twice with problemsUnder no circumstances do I or my shop guarantee that we will sell a consignment item at the original listed price, that is a starting point and we always expect that customers will negotiate for a final price that is lower.The scooter was originally listed for sale at the original price; however, it could not be sold at $One person bought it for about $several months later but returned the scooter for a full refund days later since the rear brake had completely failed with a caliper snapping when the customer tried to stopHe also complained that there was almost no range with these batteries and after a full charge it only went a couple of milesThese are issues that are not possible to test prior to a sale without spending hours of test ridingI had to replace the whole brake system in the rear once I found that the cable housing had a crack in it which rusted the inside of the housing and caused extreme oxidation of the cable itselfThat's both calipers- $50, feet of housing - $and a long cable - $plus an hour and half+ $of labor since this cable is routed in a difficult to change m***r inside the body of the scooter with a very sharp turnIn addition, after pulling the 2- 12V 38ah batteries out of the scooter and charging them separately with a known good charger and load testing the batteries, I found that they were not new and were actually tested as bad, thus would never have much rangeThose had to be replaced at a cost of $each, $total plus hour labor - $that included the testing and installation of new batteriesFurther tests showed that the ego scooter charger was not outputting the 27-volts that it is supposed to do which would have contributed to the failure of the batteriesNew charger is $plus one hour labor- $This is a total of $in parts and labor, not unreasonable cost to repair a ten year old scooter that brand new would have cost $1900.With the winter weather and several other ego scooters listed on *** at $400-$500, I could not get anyone to agree to my price of $I had spoken with *** during this time, informed her of the repairs and said that spring time would bring more buyersPrices were still low on the internet *** and without a big fancy show room buyers weren't buyingI did finally find a buyer right around Christmas time and sold the scooter for $almost a year after the scooter had been brought to meThat would make *** share $525.00, a net loss of $24. We spoke late that Decas I mentioned before and informed her of the sale*** was disappointed; however, I very carefully went over all of the costs and did the math on the sale while she was on the phoneShe mentioned that she was interested in another bike for her daughter and could I work some sort of discount on it as a type of compensationI said that all I could do was a $discount on a $bike she was looking atThat bike only has a total profit of $since it is generally sold on the internet and costs me $She said she would think about it, she needed to talk to some other people in her family and get back with me but never called me back

A check in the amount of $was mailed to Mr*** *** a couple of days ago. I do apologize for the delay; I've been dealing with a very ill family member and out of town most of April. Just a note, after checking over my call list and messages, there is no call on April 22nd
from ***. The company did receive the call on April 9th. Hopefully the receipt of the check will resolve this issue as Mr*** is a very valued customer. As an extra offer of apology I, and Alien Scooters would like to give *** one free annual tufor his Ebike; a $value at no charge to him and scheduled at his convenience. I am rejecting this response because:I am contacting you because my complaint has still been unresolved and the business still has yet to be honest and give me my money or my scooter back.  They wrote back in the Revdex.com responses but I only had 1 option to view message and then it would close the complaint. (I'm pretty sure that nothing has been done to my scooter and that she is lying since she now won't return any messages once again.)I have had a couple of text messages from [redacted] but she has yet to deliver the scooter or give me my money back. Please help me re-open this case and figure out the best way to get my scooter/money back.

Due to an unexpected serious complication of health issues with a family member who lives out of town, I have been away from my business to care for him. I did drop the ball in keeping in contact with my customer, [redacted], about this scooter repair. On the 21st of November, I did call and speak...

with [redacted] to apologize and let her know that everything except for the battery installation had been completed. I've just returned, today, Dec. 1st and will make arrangements to get the completed repair back to her. [redacted] did prepay for the batteries and the labor so their is no balance due on the repair. To show my appreciation for her patience, I would like to gift her a free full tuneup that she can redeem at her convenience.Sincerely,[redacted]
