I'm disappointed with this company and my recent visit to their local office. I was called twice and emailed prior to my appointment last Thursday. During neither contact nor anywhere on the website was there mention of a $65 charge for an appt; however I did receive an email about a $25 charge for not showing up for my appt and that insurance wasn't accepted. When I arrived at the appt and was told by the nurse about the charge, she said she apologized that I wasn't informed about the $65 charge. This sounded like it happened often and to me, seems to be a deceptive way to run a business. I told the nurse how I felt about this and I also called the office manager after my visit and expressed by dissatisfaction. She advised me that they've been complaining to corporate about this for years and can't seem to get anything done about it. It's ashame that people are at their mercy because doctors' offices don't carry most shots that travelers need for international trips and this company found a way to take advantage of this AND charge a huge fee on top of the vaccines, AND they also don't accept insurance coverage. If you have to pay for the immunizations out of pocket, why would there also be a charge for the visit? Two shots and $265 later...frustrating and disappointing.
