Ordered a refrigerator part online January 4th through the website PartsAway.com who unknowingly placed the order with Universal Appliance Parts Incin Beaverton, OR and charged my PayPal account for the full amount including shipping Web research indicates that PartsAway.com is at Nordhoff St., Los Angeles, California and the business is also known as PartsAwaySupply.com, Masters Appliance Parts and Appliance Parts MastersWebsite assured buyers that the part I ordered usually ships in 5-days and that buyers would receive a shipment confirmation email The direct affiliation between Universal Appliance Parts and the other businesses / websites is unknown Having not received the shipment confirmation email as expected, I contacted PartsAway.com by email on January 13th and never received a response I also called the phone number listed twice and got a recording; no live person On January 15th a person by the name of Emil called me to confirm that I still wanted the part, and he said shipment would be in 1-weeks On January 18th Universal Appliance Parts cancelled my order and refunded my money stating that part was on indefinite backorder The part price was now raised on the PartsAway website by $ No further communication from PartsAway.com The part is available through other vendors, and is stocked according to those vendors, so it appears that Universal Appliance Parts was making an insufficient profit at their published online price and therefore cancelled my order to satisfy their profit objectives I re-ordered through another vendor
Stay away! This company is a scam! No parts, no response. Trying to get my bank to refund my money.
I do not think this company is actually in business, I ordered a part for an air conditioner Paid through Pay Pal and waited After a few weeks I tried emailing and calling the company Not only no response, never was able to get a human on the phone It just rings and has no voice mail on theori customer service line
Eventually I disputed through Pay Pal and had my money refunded I urge everyone to avoid this company since they have no customer service and I think some sort of scam
