Review: My fiance and I planned to do a tented reception for our upcoming wedding in June. We spoke to [redacted] (Parties are Us) multiple times on the phone before going into the store to place an order. They affirmed to us on several different occasions that a 40 by 60 tent size would fit our number of guests, dance floor, tables, etc. When we placed the order for all of these items, we never saw a contract and details of a hypothetical contract (or policy) were never disclosed to us. We never signed anything, but we did pay a $488 deposit for our order. Less than a week later, we were made aware by another source that this tent size would be far too small for the people and equipment we needed to accommodate. We immediately contacted [redacted] and they too (when examining the numbers more closely) confirmed this. Unfortunately for us, our budget simply doesn't accommodate the larger tent size we would have needed. Despite the fact that this problem is due to [redacted] incorrect information and poor communication, they refused to refund us our deposit. They cite this on the basis of a contract/policy we never saw, heard, or signed.Desired Settlement: We would simply like to have the full amount of our deposit refunded to us. We asked [redacted] to do this twice now, which they have refused.
