Business Response Business Response Mr. [redacted] refused to pay thousands of dollars in additional work he personally requested. The work was completed and subsequently not paid for by Mr [redacted]. Additionally, Mr [redacted] held thousands of dollars in other payments for almost a year post move-in. All items in this complaint came more than six months after move-in, and prior to payment of the contract balance. At this time we are still working with Mr [redacted] to accommodate all his requests and complete all minor punchlist issues.Consumer Response All monies were paid for all approved work, nothing remains unpaid to date. The builder was made aware of all complaint items approximately 30 days (6 Dec, 2012) before the one year warranty/certificate of occupancy date. It has been over 120 days since the builder has been made aware of these discrepancies. He is owed nothing from a $500K+ build cost, all of which came out of pocket and paid in full to date. We have consistently been asking this builder to complete these repairs only to be met with delays and excuses. We were met with similar excuses on a countertop damage, one that we had to take action to have repaired after the builder failed to meet his own words to replace said item.
