Review: On April **, my friend was driving my car (1999 Honda Civic); the car broke down on Whitestone Bridge in New York. My friend had the car towed to Parsons & 20th Auto Care in Whitestone, NY. The mechanic, [redacted], estimated $445 for the repair. On April [redacted] my friend paid $445. The car broke down as he was driving away from the garage. At this point, [redacted] diagnosed a problem with the computer and estimated an additional $250 for the repair. My friend gave him permission to fix the car. At this point, I called [redacted] myself to check on progress of the repairs. [redacted] told me it would be fixed in a couple of days. I called [redacted] about 6 times between May * and May **. Each time, he told me it would be fixed in a couple of days. On May **, I told [redacted] that if he could not fix the car by May ** that I would have it towed to a new garage. On the morning of May **, I called [redacted] and asked if the car were fixed. He said it would be fixed in the afternoon. My wife and I drove to Parsons & 20th around 1 PM on May **. [redacted] showed us the car. It was not running; it had not been fixed. The car appeared to be in disrepair; wires were hanging out of the car. I photographed the damage and told [redacted] that I expected to get a refund and to have the car towed to a garage in Connecticut. [redacted] said he could not give me a refund. I asked to speak to his manager. [redacted] said the manager was not present and he refused to give me the managers telephone number. [redacted] also refused to tell me who the owner of the garage was. I demanded a refund and [redacted] said the most he could offer was to refund the cost of the parts ($195). I explained that this was not adequate, but he did not care. I paid to have the car towed to a garage in New Haven, CT. The mechanic there confirmed that the car had been damaged and that parts were missing from the car; he estimated that it would cost over $1,500 to fix the car. He recommended that I sue Parsons & 20th Garage for de-valuing my car.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the cost of the repair (I was refunded only $195 of the $445 bill). I would like Parsons & 20th to pay the cost of repairing the damage to my car.
