Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2014/09/17) */ I was out of town from Wednesday, September 10, and returned yesterday, September 16, Upon my return I found the attached letter form the Revdex.com with the complaintThe letter was dated September 3, but was not delivered to our office until after September 10, Therefore, I would appreciate your accepting and understanding my response being after the September 13, I have read the complaint and wish to respond in specific detail, but I will quickly summarize: Complainant was a one of several people who were on an apartment lease as co-lesseesAll signers to the lease knew they were signing the lease as joint and several When we receive rent checks from residents we deposit them promptly and credit the specific apartment accountWe received a check from Complainant's bank for rent and promptly deposited itAs there was a rent balance at the time we received the check, there was no reason not to deposit the checkWe do not refund money for checks deposited when there is a rent balance Complainant said the check was sent after she moved outShe may have moved out, but she was still on the lease and responsible for rent as her lease was still in effectComplainant had roommate problems and did not want to pay rent because she thought her roommates should pay rentThis is a roommate problem which we do not get involved withIt also may be a problem with [redacted] as [redacted] may have made a mistake sending the checkWe cannot refund a check once it has been deposited and rent is owed Please let me know if you need any further information PARLIAMENT ENTERPRISES LIMITED
