October 7, 2016Revdex.com ComplaintID # [redacted] To Whom It May Concern; In reference to the above complaint (ID # [redacted] ), I am writing to reiterate that Park Side Credit Union did follow policy/procedure in this case On June 16, 2016; the vehicle in mention was turned over to Park Side Credit Union as a voluntary repossession The complainant (who was the co-borrower on the loan) came to a branch stated that the primary borrower was deceased and gave us the keys to the vehicle and left said vehicle at the branch.At that time, the vehicle became a voluntary repossession, per policy, Park Side then sent out a letter stating that the borrower/complainant had days to reclaim the vehicle or it would be sold and the proceeds would be applied to the loan, if there was any deficiency owing, the borrower would be liable for it That letter was sent out on 6/16/to both the complainant and the primary borrowers estate.After the days was up, on 6/26/2016, we took the vehicle to a local dealership where the vehicle sold days later on 6/28/ The vehicle was sold and the proceeds were used to cover the consignment costs at the dealership (cost for selling the vehicle and clean up of the vehicle) and the remainder went to the loan balance There was a small deficiency owing after that and the remainder was paid off by the estate.The vehicle was not taken illegally and Park Side did the due-diligence of informing the borrower it would be sold if no action was taken in days, since we didn’t hear from the complainant or the estate, it was sold The vehicle was not sold for a profit, the proceeds went to pay off the loan that was taken out against it.Should you have any further questions, please contact me at [redacted]
