Fraud
Upon a visit in early Spring to Walmart to purchase groceries I was approached by a young man asking me if I wanted a lower electric bill.
I told him "no". He then asked if I was already a customer of AEP and I said yes, and I'm satisfied with this company. He said do you know the supplier rate you are paying for the delivery of your service. I said no, but it was Dynegy and I'm satisfied with my rate. He said what if I could show you that the company I'm promoting (Park Power LLC) can give you a lower rate. So I gave him my info and he said...you're right. My company can't beat Dynegy's rate. Thanks for your time. He then went on to approach another person in Walmart.
I never signed anything, nor did I verbally agree to switch supplier companyies.
Then, in June, July, and August I noticed a higher electric bill. First, it was $35.00 higher than May's, then $50.00 higher than June's, then almost $80.00 higher than July's.

Today I was cleaning up my spam mail and found a letter dated May 3rd, 2024 from AEP advising me that they had received a request to switch my generation supply from Dynegy to Park Power LLC and the change would be effective June 11, 2024. I was instructed to contact AEP by 6:00 pm on May 11, 2024, if I wanted to cancel this request. It also stated: "You or your community's governmental aggregation program may have requested this change".

I then thought maybe this is why my electric bill is so high. I know I didn't sign or verbally make a request to make a change from Dynegy to Park Power LLC. So I called AEP's customer service and spoke to a very nice woman who informed me that Park Power LLC was charging me almost 4x the amount that Dynegy had been charging me. I asked her if she could cancel Park Power LLC's account and put me back with Dynegy. She said she could not do this. I had to contact Park Power LLC and cancel them.

Well, I tried numerous times to call the number the AEP customer service representative gave for Park Power LLC (855) 780-7275, and got no where. The answering service asks you to hit the "1" number to speak to their customer service and music plays forever it seems. Then answering service asks you to press "2" to leave your name and phone number. Upon pressing "2" you are then told to press the "#" sign or hang up!

I want to cancel Park Power LLC as my generation supplier and have no way of contacting them.

This is fraud as far as I'm concerned. I am 84 years old and in stage 4 of COPD and on oxygen 24/7 besides being a low-income senior citizen who depends on only Social Security to pay for housing and utilities. I can't afford a lawyer, can anyone help me.

I am going to make a trip to Walmart and let the manager know about this company. Walmart has had many of these generation supplier advocates in their stores to get people signed up for their companies. Maybe I can hold Walmart responsible for allowing them to do bad business in their stores, I don't know!

Please give me some advice or help in getting rid of Park Power LLC as my generation supplier.

May God Bless You Many Times Over!
