Park N Ride

Review: I was visiting New Orleans for a few days, beginning on July 4th. That night, I went to the Essence Festival at the Superdome downtown. I was new to the city, never having visited there before. I was looking for a place to park my vehicle. I noticed the parking garage in question. I decided to park there, and pay the required fee, which was $5. I only had cash on hand at the time. I inserted a $20 bill into the machine, expecting to receive $15 change in return. Instead, the machine kept the rest of the money. There was no one available at the time for me to speak with. Therefore, I wrote down the phone number which was located on the building. After I returned home, I contacted the parking garage to let them know what happened. I spoke with a man who worked there, and he said there was no way they could possibly refund the $15 the machine kept. He accused me of lying, and fabricating a story in order to get some money. I informed him I have a receipt from the transaction. This made no difference to him. He was very unprofessional, rude, and nasty. When I asked if there was someone else I could speak with about the matter, he said there was no one else I could talk with. He refused to tell me who owns the garage, or who the manager is. This was a disappointing experience for a new visitor to the city, and a terrible way to be treated.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my $15 in change either via a check or money order.
