Review: My mother and I went in today for mani/pedis at the advertised $30 price and walked out short of $110. '[redacted]' kept insisting on attacking my face with thread, pulling at my facial hair, even though I kept waving her away. I paid up front but my mother was hit up even worse as [redacted] refused to tally the bill when my mother asked to pay before the manicure and then because I had said I would not pay the $10 extra she wanted for the threading, she added that to my mother's bill. [redacted] kept berating my mother, insisting that she have a massage and also going at her face, saying she was shaping her eyebrows, which she was not. Basically, my mother could not deal with this woman's persistence, and both of us wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible without an uncomfortable confrontation. The manicure was so poor that my mother is now having to take an antibiotic from the excessive and brutal cuticle cutting and the paint itself is amateurish. I know we should have gotten up and walked away - but we had no shoes on and our feet in the footbath. Every Christmas, my mother and I go into the city as a treat and now we are thinking we will just give NYC a miss. This was such a horrible experience.Desired Settlement: I would like the extra $50 this employee swindled out of me and my mother. I would also like this business to be inspected for its cleanliness and unsafe cutting practices.
