Review: I signed up for membership at West End Fitness as I await a hip surgery. I have been unable to run, and this gym has an indoor pool nearby to my apartment. They have a 30-day cancellation policy, which seems quite fair. I had cancelled my membership effective at of 5/* at the end of March, so that I could use the pool for the month of April. On March [redacted], I, along with all other members, were informed via email that the pool would be closed effective April [redacted]. One week notice. When I tried to get a refund for the month of April- when I would not be able to use the pool at all, I was told that they would adhere to their 30-day policy for cancellations. So, the company allows itself to give members 7 days notice, but requires 30 days of its members to cancel service? This seems clearly insensitive and ludicrous. The management has been responsive but will not grant a refund for the month of April, when I must pay for the use of another pool. This is bad business and even worse customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of either the entire month's membership of april- $105, or for the 26 days in which I am unable to use the pool.
Review: 1/**/2014 The only thing this place had going was the location and since it closed location doesn't really matter. Previous ownership ran off with our dues for membership and personal training money. Stay away!Desired Settlement: refund in service
Review: The Paris Health Club was formerly owned by a corp named Clipper Capital. They sold the Club around Nov. 2013 to a different Corp. Clipper Capital incorrectly charged me a Dec 2013 active monthly fee of $89.95 along with a $7.00 freeze fee. I had put my membership on freeze for 3 months, Dec. being one of them. The $7 fee was accurate but not the $89.95. I spoke to the [redacted] at the time who said he would take care of it and credit my account. This never happened. Now the new [redacted] of the club have said this is between me and the old [redacted]. I have not been able to get ahold of them. My CC tried to dispute this but only contacted the new [redacted]. They will only do one dispute. Since this is a fraudulent fee I would like to see if it can be resolved. Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: Refund either to my USAA credit card or to me directlyIf no refund, a month free at the Club even though I am not presently a member
