Review: I hired [redacted] for a general contracting project on my new home. After seven days of him on the job the job itself was unsatisfactory. He worked half days, was very unprofessional, and did not take pride in his work. He knew my timeline and did not deliver upon my original request. When I paid him in full $2,500, the job was horrifying. The painting was not done right, or completed. I did pay him before inspecting the job entirely. "Lesson learned" When I confronted him, and wanted a partial refund, he declined and refused. The amount of time and materials needed to fix said issue is going to put me so far back. The entire job leaves little hope. My fiance took many pictures of the job for record. I pointed many things out and he showed little professionalism. I did not trust him to come back into my home and hold his end up. I paid him with a check and he asked that I do not make it out to the business but to him personally. This was a very shady and upsetting transaction. There was no written contract which makes matters even worse. Now I am back $2500 and put back with lots of work. PLEASE HELPDesired Settlement: He did do a decent job on the first few days of the job. But the things that are messed up are going to cost me a lot more money such as a broken door shock,broken drywall, not prepped/uneven painted ceilings and walls, drywall tape that needs to be removed and redone, all new paint, trim needs to be replaced. The emotional/financial toll it took my fiance is devastating. He asked that I make the check out to him personally and not his business. I am looking for half of my money back for repair.
