Review: Parc Grove Properties was my landlord from December 2013 - June 2015. At the expiration of my lease (a date not in dispute), I paid all rent, charges, and fees associated with my account with Parc Grove. A few weeks later, Parc Grove called and informed me that they would be keeping my security deposit, and charging me cleaning costs associated with me leaving the apartment. I informed both Parc Grove and their parent company, [redacted], that these costs were frivolous. I took pictures of the apartment upon my departure indicating it was left in a clean condition. Parc Grove also charged me a month-to-month rent fee despite the fact my departure was told to them eight weeks in advance, and more importantly, my departure complied with the terms of the lease.
Despite these facts, Parc Grove has reported to several major credit agencies that I have an outstanding debt owed to their company. This is patently false, as they have unilaterally concocted this amount based upon their own punitive and absolutely false assumptions. Moreover, nowhere did they inform me that they would be reporting this amount to credit agencies.
I suspect that Parc Grove is engaged in a much larger course of tenant fraud. I suspect that, to help subsidize the costs of upgrading their apartments, they inform tenants that the carpet requires replacing due to their own malfeasance. In actuality, these carpets only suffered normal wear and tear, but they remain an outdated artifiact, which Parc Grove would like to replace with hard wood floors. They've discovered a way to do this: charge their tenants under the guise that the carpet must be replaced. It happened to me, and now I'm being denied credit applications due to this punitive scheme.Desired Settlement: Parc Grove has damaged my credit by claiming there is an outstanding sum owed to them. I would like them to cease this claim and remove any prevailing claim since July to repair the damage that has been done to my credit.
