After two inspections for hail damage and a review of my homeowners insurance policy, [redacted] Paramount Disaster Recovery, told my wife and me that they would get a new roof for my house and air conditioner condensers for the $5,000 deductible. After I signed a contract with Paramount, they came back and said they had misread the policy, and the new deductible would be $16.500. I could not get out of the contract and had to pay a penalty if I wanted to be released from the contract. They clearly misrepresented themselves and I wound up paying a lot of money to be released. I urge anyone doing business with Paramount to have the contracts reviewed by your attorney before signing. Also, make certain ALL of the costs are placed on the contract, and nothing is to be covered in another document.
