Ohana House (Currituck Club)
Buyer beware. The house was beautiful but many, many issues from black colored mold in registers, lights hanging on wire from ceiling, ant infestation, smelly mildew odor and most importantly NO WORKING REFRIGERATOR in kitchen for 5 days. These is brought a dirty replacement until new one came and left OUTSIDE plugged in with extension cord and we had to complain so they brought into bottom level with a nice 16 step hike to kitchen. We repeatedly asked to be moved to another house to no avail. They offered us $250 for the inconvenience and we refused. we paid close to $5000 for the week (5-7 days were inconvenienced) and they just credited $750 to our cards and expect us to go away. Go somewhere else, take it from me. I am filing small claims case to get the rest of our $$$. The mildew and mold issue caused health issues and they should be ashamed.

Highly disappointed.
Highly disappointed! Arrived late (8:45 PM) on 7/13. We were immediately greeted by a strong mildew smell, dirty dishes in the cabinet, dead ants (as well as eight ant traps in the kitchen and countertops), a ceiling light dangling near the kitchen, and bed linens that reeked of mildew. Also, the pool skimmer was torn, making it difficult to skim the pool every morning. All of the bed linens had to be washed to eliminate the mildew odor. We could not contact Paramount as the office was closed for the day.

The following morning (7/14), we called Paramount and left a message. Michelle and Channing arrived shortly after that. We immediately asked if we could be moved to another property and Michelle said she would see what she could do and get back to us. Seven hours later we were informed that nothing was available. Channing repaired the dangling light fixture, sprayed air freshener, and thoroughly cleaned the register covers. We informed him that the refrigerator was not cold so he adjusted the setting and said to be patient. He also set both thermostats to 68 degrees - saying this would help with the smell. Half the day was lost addressing these issues.

The next day, 7/15, the refrigerator was still warm. Channing came out and determined that the fridge was indeed bad. The owner had to be informed so a new refrigerator could be purchased and delivered. In the meantime, we were promised a "loaner" fridge would be delivered until the new one arrived. This meant transferring all perishable food to our coolers. Extremely inconvenient! While we at the beach, the loaner fridge was delivered and set up outside, in front of the garage! Without our knowledge or consent, our food was transferred to the fridge. I guess we were expected to go outside when we needed something from the fridge. Later in the afternoon, the fridge was moved to the lower-level game room area - again, up and down the steps to retrieve items from the fridge.

Tuesday, 7/16, pest control and two housekeeping women came and performed their tasks that should have been done PRIOR to our arrival.

7/17 was somewhat uneventful although the smell had returned and at 68 degrees we were freezing, especially in the lower level of the house. We had to purchase blankets because it was so cold at night and the supplied thin quilts did not provide adequate warmth. Still no new refrigerator in the kitchen. With the thermostats set so low to “reduce the smell”, the kids got sick, and one of the adults’ asthma flared up. Not to mention that the stress my wife experienced caused her autoimmune disease to flare up.

On Thursday, 7/18, we were informed that the new refrigerator would be delivered. Delivery men and Paramount maintenance guy removed the old refrigerator and replaced it with the new one. While this was being done, we were reiterating all the issues we had experienced to the maintenance guy. His sarcastic response was "what would you like me to do about it?"

My wife and I decided to return home the next day (7/19); we'd had enough. The unfortunate truth is that had someone taken the extra hour or two to thoroughly inspect the home, many of the issues would have been detected and corrected. Afterall, we were informed the house was ready at 2:00 PM - two hours before the regular check-in time. Shame on you. To make matters worse, no mention of compensation was offered from either Paramount Destinations or the owner. I texted Michelle, asking for contact information to register our concerns but she never responded. I also called the office when we arrived home and was told there was really no one I could talk to; just complete this survey. Your website touts Paramount Destinations as “Luxury Vacation Rentals at The Currituck Club” – this is laughable. This was our fourth visit to a Paramount Destinations in the Currituck Club and sadly, will likely be the last.
Highly disappointed.

I purchased Trip Tracker on 9/3/ TripTracker was installed on my computers but still had to be set I purchased web reservations and Deem The Deem component was not for the Deem product it was only for the integration which cost an extra $ I thought that this was for the Deem product Once I discovered that I did not purchased the Deem product I requested a refund for that component which I never receivedRegarding the Web Reservations component, I was never able to set this system up Although the Representative did help with the setup, it was never setup and the Trip Tracker kept disappearing from my desk top After this I requested a refund and was told that I could not get a refund I paid $ I think that this company scammed me Why would company keep your payment knowing that you are not able to use the product
