charges. [redacted] contacted Paragon Warranty that the vehicle was ready for inspection and that the timing chain adjuster gasket had failed causing supplemental failure to other timing components. Paragon Warranty then ordered an inspection from an independent inspection company to be performed on the next business day to verify the cause of failure. The report from the inspection company confirmed the cause of failure (Tensioner gaskets failed causing supplemental damage to the timing chain, tensioners, guides and phasers.) Seals and gaskets are covered only for a covered repair. The adjuster gaskets are not covered and per the contract. If a non-covered component causes the failure of a covered component those repairs are not covered per the contract. Also, there was failure of routine repairs that needed to be done. The contract does not cover OEM scheduled routine repairs. The repairs were not covered.[redacted] then contacted the dealer he had purchased the vehicle from and the dealer contacted Paragon Warranty discussed the possibility to help on the repairs that were needed on the vehicle, At that time, Paragon Warranty then contacted [redacted] and authorized an amount to the repairs per the contract. [redacted] then authorized [redacted] to repair the vehicle not to industry standards and was required to sign a letter of release from any farther damages to the engine that was caused by this repair would not be covered.If Paragon Warranty can be of any farther assistance regarding this complaint.
