I read this consumer's complaint and see two specifics I would like to addressThe consumer said furniture was brokenHe is referring to one piece of furniture that was in such very, very poor condition that the installer barely touched it and it brokeThe consumer surely knew of the condition of this one piece of furnitureHe also waited some months after this incident occurred to bring it upAs any reasonable person would know, items often get brittle with age and breakage occurs, even when proper care is exercisedSecond, the consumer speaks of drinking on the jobHe is referring to one half-consumed beer which one installer drank at the end of the dayTo say installers were drinking on the job is quite a stretch and very misleadingThe terminology on the part of the consumer amounts to embellishmentThe consumer refers to poor installation of the productThis is a very general statement and the only one that relates directly to the quality of the workBecause the consumer chose not to offer any specifics, I cannot respond to such an ambiguous statementThe two specifics cited in the complaint do not warrant a refund of the amount the consumer is requesting and we cannot answer to poor quality of work unless the consumer cites specifics, which he elected not to doThe product in question is a vinyl tile and the consumer was provided with a labor guarantee, that if any tiles come lose in any way or do not stay affixed to the subfloor, they will be fixedThank youSent on: 5/6/3:55:PM
1.) The scratch in the floor was caused by the customer This floor was installed a year ago, so if our installer caused this scratch, why did it take the customer a year to notice and let us know The customer obviously caused this scratch.2.) Regarding the fireplace, it is humanely impossible to cut hard surface flooring up to a jagged rock fireplace squarely The fireplace edges are so jagged it is impossible to cut up to them Shoemold will not even install up to a jagged rock fireplace.3.) The door jam was cut for 3/4" hardwood which the installer tore up and installed the new product which is approximately 3/8" high We did not cut the door jam $.) On the nail lift, we would be more than happy to fix this problem Thank you, [redacted]
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10590727, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I read this consumer's complaint and see two specifics I would like to address. The consumer said furniture was broken. He is referring to one piece of furniture that was in such very, very poor condition that the installer barely touched it and it broke. The consumer surely knew of the condition of...
this one piece of furniture. He also waited some 9 months after this incident occurred to bring it up. As any reasonable person would know, items often get brittle with age and breakage occurs, even when proper care is exercised. Second, the consumer speaks of drinking on the job. He is referring to one half-consumed beer which one installer drank at the end of the day. To say installers were drinking on the job is quite a stretch and very misleading. The terminology on the part of the consumer amounts to embellishment. The consumer refers to poor installation of the product. This is a very general statement and the only one that relates directly to the quality of the work. Because the consumer chose not to offer any specifics, I cannot respond to such an ambiguous statement. The two specifics cited in the complaint do not warrant a refund of the amount the consumer is requesting and we cannot answer to poor quality of work unless the consumer cites specifics, which he elected not to do. The product in question is a vinyl tile and the consumer was provided with a labor guarantee, that if any tiles come lose in any way or do not stay affixed to the subfloor, they will be fixed. Thank you. Sent on: 5/6/2015 3:55:36 PM
