While our dog was in the home of this business, she was bitten and deeply scratched over multiple places on her body This was a nine day stay and when we picked her up, she needed to be taken to an emergency vet immediately The sitter told us it was just a scratch, but there was a huge puncture wound on her leg that had developed into an very large abscess This sitter knew our dog was hurt and gave her prescription pain medication without our approval According to the Vet, the damage was more than a few days old because of the necrotic tissue around the wound and would require immediate surgery to close the wound This "business" would not provide any type of insurance information nor would they file a claim on our behalf The online company that we found this sitter through let us know that this sitter's Profile has been REVOKED due to their sneaky business practices of suggesting direct booking instead of through the online company so that they could collect more money and have more than the allotted number of dogs at one time Their friends and housemates have given their "recommendation for great service" on the online site(s) we found Our dog is still suffering from the wounds inflicted on her and it is a full month after the incident I would NEVER recommend The Dog Yard as a place to leave your beloved family pet
