Review: I called and tried to make a payment. They informed me that I missed my last payment and proceeded to tell me that they will either need the full amount or charge me an extra every month for processing. I asked them what the processing was for and they explained to take payment and mail out statements. I have never received a bill from this outfit. Not a single bill has ever been mailed to me. This is a very scrupulous policy and the nature of which serves no purpose other than to extort extra funds from participants.Desired Settlement: I'd also like to receive a bill. At least one to know what I am being charged for and paying for.

Response:
PAR Acceptance Corporation is a billing company contracted by Spokane Municipal Court. Our office sends out billing statements on the 1st day of each month to the address that we have on file for the particpants assigned to our office. This address information comes directly from our client, the court. When our office spoke to Mr. [redacted] on 11-5-14 we advised him that we had received a mail return on 10-28-14 from the post office stating "Return to Sender - unclaimed - unable to forward". When our office asked to update the address we have on file for him, he stated that the address we have is correct and he was not sure why we would have received that notice back as a mail return. We then advised that we could attempt to send another statement to that address for his next payment if he choose to re-set his account back on time payments through PAR. When we discussed the fees for re-setting his account back on time payments, we advised that we charge a $16.00 re-set fee as well as a $5.00 monthly processing fee to re-establish the account. These are delinquency fees that are assessed to re-establish time payments on any account that is found to be in default, and that wants to re-establish a payment plan with our company. These are PAR's fees that we charge to accept payments, and they are listed in our contract with the Spokane Municipal Court for managing their accounts. On 11-5-14 Mr. [redacted] verbally confirmed during our phone converstation that he would like to re-establish his payments through PAR and he agreed to pay the fees associated with the re-set of his accounts, although he did state he did not agree with them. Our office plans to send Mr. [redacted]'s next statement to him on 12-1-14 for his December payment. If at any time Mr. [redacted] would like a copy of his monthly statements, our office is able to provide him a copy.
