alarm system, installed a pet motion detector, window transmitter and alarm siren. The technician was there three hours. The work and materials were part of a 5-year monitoring contract (copy available upon request) that [redacted] entered into with Marran in which he agreed to pay $24.99 per month. The alarm monitoring contract is not a service contract as stated by [redacted] in his complaint and does not cover parts and labor on repairs. This was only a switchover on an older alarm system. Our technician recommended replacing/upgrading the system, but [redacted] chose to make repairs to the existing system. Marran is not responsible for the condition or failure of the alarm components on [redacted]’s system that we did not install. We never received a written cancellation for monitoring services, as per the monitoring contract he signed. We continued to monitor the alarm thru the end of the contract period. Marran honored our agreement with [redacted] who did not pay his contract in full. We have filed in Commercial Claims Court and are seeking damages under the contract.
