Review: I contacted [redacted] to come out and service 3 of our ac units. He came out 05/13/13 as scheduled. He called me to inform me that one of the a/c units needed freon so I told him go ahead and he came back in later with invoice so I paid him the $265. at that time he informed me that on unit #2 the compressor was out and I told him I had just replaced it and it was still under warranty and that I would handle it. I got ahold of the a/c guy that replaced our compressor in #2 and he came out on 05/16/13 went to the roof and checked #2 he noticed a loosened wire from contactor to compressor. The wire was melted. He replaced the wire and flipped the condenser motor wires back to make fan blades run in right direction. So I asked him to check the other 2 unit while he was up there and he found that they were dirty and had not been serviced. Also while inspecting unit 3 found that the insulation sucked into blower so he removed insulation to protect blower and air pollution. He also found a massive leak in the copper line. That is why it needed freon. He welded it and added the freon. So I called [redacted] and asked him for my money back he said that was fine and he came the same day to bring it the 05/16/13 but it was for $90.00 not $265...... I called [redacted] on 05/20/13 to ask why the difference he said he refunded me the labor but not the freon. I told him I felt all should be refunded because if he would have serviced the a/c's he would have found the leak, and would have seen that the insulation was being sucked into the blower. He told me to sue him. He should have serviced a/c's then he would have seen what needed to be repaired before he added freon.[redacted] the a/c guy that came out informed me that the only reason an a/c would need freon is because there is a leak. So why PanAir put the freon in without finding the reason out why it needed it is why I feel he should refund us the $175 difference. I had to pay it again to [redacted] after he repaired the leak.Desired Settlement: Would like a full refund. The bill was $265he refunded $90 so I would like the remaining balance of $175.00

RE: Complaint ID number: [redacted]
MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD:
The details of this matter are as
follows:
I was contacted by [redacted] to service 3 of their A/C units. I was at the job site on 05/13/13, as
scheduled. I
found
one of the units leaking refrigerant, and a second one with the condenser fan
motor not working properly (spinning backwards), and the compressor
inoperative.
After troubleshooting these 3 A/C
units, we submitted to her an estimate, for the repairs and the servicing
(cleaning) of the units, which she accepted and paid the amount of $265.00.
I repaired the unit that was
leaking refrigerant (schroder suction valve replaced), and recharged the unit
with refrigerant.
She informed me that the
inoperative unit (condenser/compressor), was repaired by other,
and she will contact him to claim the
warranty, and to service that unit.
I told her that when she had that
unit repaired, I will service the two remained units.
I returned $90.00 for the
cleaning of 2 units, approved but not done due to her decision to call his a/c
guy. It's my understanding that the Mr. [redacted] (the a/c guy) she mentioned is not
a licensed contractor, and not certified to work with refrigerants.
The difference of$175.00 (parts & labor) from the
total amount she paid was for the repairs authorized and done to the unit we
found leaking refrigerant.
Respectfully, [redacted] Owner PANAIRPLUS
