Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
Phillip B[redacted]However I've worked with many forms of asphalt for over 40 years and know that the quality and aplication areare the most important requirements for a proper installation, as to weather, an extreme freeze thaw cycle may damagevery old asphalt, but shouldn't affect properly installed brand new quality products. I would also point out that I addressed this in my complaint that we had one of the mildest winters on record last winter after the installation of this driveway. Since the company FINALLY sent a knowledgeable and Reasonsble man to make a repair to MANY LARGE cracks (not one crack,as indicated in their response) After 5 months of communication, I wil leave this resolution at this statusfor now, however I reserve the right to monitor the drieway's condition and make further complaint if necessary.
Unfortunately, where we live the weather has a major impact on asphalt and sometimes asphalt does crack. We do everything we can to minimize the risk of cracking when paving the driveway. U.S. Paving uses 8ton rollers on driveways to compact the asphalt for maximum density, with that said, there is...
no way to 100 % guarantee that it wont crack that is why we can not warranty for cracking. We did seal coat the driveway and we have now filled the crack with an emulsion in hopes to help stop the cracking. Asphalt does require this type of maintenance.
