Packerland Heating & Cooling

My wife and I had the guys do our heating and cooling for our new house. We were very happy. [redacted] the owner walked us through all of the aspects and was very informative of all workings of our dual zone system with thermostats upstairs and downstairs. We built a condo with a contract specifying a Rheem Heating & Cooling system. We upgraded this standard unit HVAC with Packerland Htg. & Landmark Development at a specific price. This price was to include heating & cooling for all living interiors including future living areas. This unit has an exposed basement that is insulated and two by four wall studding and appropriate plumbing for a bathroom and wet bar.

The Packerland representative was brusque and very antagonistic when we made our HVAC register locations as well as well as multiple cold air returns and the request for raised cold air returns due the high ceilings.

Packerland installed without notice to us a Ruud HVAC system that was manufactured a year ago. Supposedly it is the same, except the other 64 condo units have Rheem HVAC.

The basement HVAC does not meet Code.

The agreed contract price had to be increased or Landmark would not allow Packeland to install the requested items.

Buyer beware with these two contractors.
