Packard Custom Landscaping

Last spring (2015) I hired Packard Landscaping to lay 1000 sf of sod in my backyard. Now, in its second summer, the lawn just doesn't look like I spent over $2500 to prep the lawn area, replace sprinklers, lay and fertilize the sod. The only things I can contribute this to would be #1--poor prep of the lawn area, #2--poor quality sod, #3--poor follow up by me. There was no tilling or working the soil included in the prep. The sod was just plopped down. I know nothing about sod quality, and cannot address that. As far as follow up by me--spending over $2500 for the lawn (not including other charges for the borders and painting the walls) is an investment, not something I would take lightly.
