This is a service call through a home warranty. Rentz Residential Services has no control of coverageThis is our findings which were reported to the home warranty“Serviced call on 3/14/2017, Found no mechanical problems with the system, technician was unable to detect any odorsCustomer
stated they can only detect odor when unit is off and it is intermittent.” We were advised through the home warranty that odors are not covered under their policy. Please note that the $disputed amount is the service fee which is dictated through the home warranty and that Rentz Residential Services has no authority to reimburse. That issue must be taken up with the home warranty

I was not advised at the time that the warranty does not cover ordersI was recently advised by another contractor and have since addressed that with First American. Rentz did not do the proper follow up that they stated they would and I would not recommend their service based on my interaction with themThey knew my unit was functioning and that it was an odor when the technician came out the first time without a ladderHowever, the same technician came back out to inspect the odorIf they knew it wasn't covered, why did they come out to service it?
