When the client came into our salon on Saturday, March 22, 2014, she asked how much it would be to color her shoulder-length hair. Our cosmetologist informed her that it would be $25 for a touch-up. A touch-up service involves dying up to 2 inches of new growth to match the current color of the hair. Upon further inspection, our cosmetologist noticed that the hair that needs to be dyed in the back of her head is more than just a touch-up; it had about 4 inches of unprocessed hair. We informed the client that the back of her head was not dyed from before; it would cost the same as dying her entire head, which is $30. When asked if she needed a hair cut, she said she needed a trim, which is $8 for a total of $38. she agreed to the price and asked what would be a nice color for her. Our cosmetologist showed her a color swatch book. She asked for some recommendations, and the cosmetologist recommended a color for her. After a color was selected, we began the service.
