Ovi Auto Depot

I purchased a 2008 Monterrey boat from this company on 9/19/2019 Bill of Sale #XXXXXXXXXX for the amount of $11,600. Got no boat or refund.
I was shopping for a boat on Craigslist and found I *** monterey 234 FS bow rider said to be located in New York City, and the seller was *** (***@hatchgroup.net) claimed to be located in Buffalo NY.
On Sept.18. I was informed by her that the boat was in great working order and that it was only operated on lake Erie along with other info. She then informed me that the boat was in consignment in a Ovi Auto Depot Storage Facility - *** Stewart Ave, Garden City, NY XXXXX, United States. She Had it there because she was purchasing another boat through them and they help with the buying, selling, and shipping of theses kinds of items. I got in contact of OVI without issue and they answered more question about the boat and the conversation was informative and did not raise any red flags. There website was well designed and the reviews that I found were positive. The seller was asking XXXXX dollars for this item and shipping was included up to 500 miles. There was also a 7 day money back grantee that started upon delivery, if the boat was not as described then they would come pick it up within 72 hours. I proceeded on 9/19/19 to transfer the money to the given account at Bank of America that was to be held in trust by OVI until I approved the sale and then be released to *** (seller). I recieved an invoice and a bill of sale upon completion of this process from OVI who informed me that the boat was shipping from there facility on 9/20/19 by 11am, and should be arriving 9/23/19 by 5pm. On 9/23/18 in the afternoon I was informed that the towing vehicle had been in an accident but the boat was not damaged and that they were changing out the towing vehicle and the boat would arrive the following day by 5pm and would receive a call 2 hours prior for delivery instructions. On 9/24/19 around 3pm I received an updated invoice informing me that the insurance adjuster determined that the boat was damaged in the collision and that they could not deliver the boat in that condition. It informed me that the refund process had been started and that I would receive my money back in 1-5 business days. I got in touch with *** who said she had been informed of the same thing and that the insurance company was going to pay her to. I also got a hold of OVI who informed me that they had no new information regarding the boat as the insurance company was handling it and that they also had no information in regards to the refund as they were handling that as well. This was cause for concern as it made no sense that the insurance company was I charge of my refund as it was supposed to be held in trust so OVI should be responsible for transferring the money ($11,600.00) back to me. After this conversation I sent multiple emails and called multiple times to OVI and received no response or answer. I Contacted my bank who filed to Bank of America for a transfer back of the funds with the claim of fraud on 10/1/19. BOA contacted my bank on that Friday saying they were going to reach out to the account holder, it in now 10/10/19 and have heard nothing back. We also discovered yesterday 10/9/19 that the website for OVI has been taken down along with the links for there customer reviews.

This Business took $21,100.00 from me and did not deliver anything. They scammed me!
I purchased a 2006 John Deere 605C and I paid them in full, I never received the tractor.

Internet scam using fake website
OVI Auto Depot.com creates the illusion they are legit, via phony documents, phony web site etc. They place phony Craig's List ads under an alias name. When I inquired on the item for sale, a *** tractor, the seller says the tractor is at OVI Auto Depot's warehouse and to call them to inspect. I called them to learn the warehouse is 600 miles from where I live. The seller tells me he has a $1000. shipping certificate so they claim it will be delivered free and allow me 7 days to inspect. OVI will hold the funds until the tractor was delivered and inspected. The seller uses a fake name and fake email. They lead you to believe he is an engineer and uses a real engineering company email address. Sadly I fall prey to these con artist and wire 13,500. I must tell you that I am not easily fooled. These cons are that good. They delay the shipping of the vehicle long enough to grab the wire transfer. I could go and on how they perfected the scam. They plant fake post all over the web via wood working forums auto forums RV forums etc. Typically, a poster ask has anyone used OVI and then another poster says oh yes and they were great. Of course it's them doing the asking and responding. They claim 3 Harvard MBA's run the company and have raised over 2,500.000 to open locations all over. They plant this info on the web via hacking legit small time newspapers to make it look like the founders were interviewed . These scammers invested a lot of time in creating this illusion . They claim the business was founded in 2009. If you look up their corporate filing in Florida you will find they registered July 5, 2019. They then have no bad press because the scam is so new but yet you lulled into a false sense of comfort because of all the fake postings saying they are legit. I lost 13,500 I just hope this helps others from loosing money. Feel free to reach out to me for additional info. I have been placing postings on Craig's List and forums hoping to shut these scammers down.

Paid $19500.00 for a pontoon on X-XX-XX and never received the pontoon or a refund.
Paid $19500.00 for a pontoon on 9-17-19. Received email on 9-21 delivery truck was in an accident but no damage to pontoon and delivery rescheduled for 9-23. On 9-23 email stated pontoon was damaged and a full refund through ovi auto depots insurance company would take place in 1-5 business days. Email stated refund would take place no later than 3pm on 9-27-2019. Never got the refund. Ovi auto depot is a consignment business and the supposedly owner of the pontoons name is *** I had been in touch with *** until the last day of the refund, which he deleted his email acct. ***@engineer.com and also ***@hatchengineers.com I'm pretty confident this is a fraudulent company and have also filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General.
