Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: In my mind, every branded new furnace is included with a thermostatBesides, I checked with other friends who telling me their experience that the thermostat is included when they replace a new branded furnaceThey never ask for the thermostat from their supplier, but they all get a new thermostat Even though my old thermostat is working, it is year oldIt does not means the old thermostat cover all the new function of the new 95% furnaceIf the thermostat is not included in price, the company should have the responsiblity to make note or remark the quotaion and at leat verbally notify me in advance Sincerely, [redacted] ***

We're not sure why *** feels entitled to a thermostat he did not pay for and which he noted wasn't necessaryHis existing thermostat works fine (his words), so he did not need a new thermostat, and we don't sell people things they don't need unless they specifically request it (people don't like
to be upsold)And as I explained to *** in the email he quoted, we do not normally include a new thermostat with a new furnace because many homeowners want to keep their existing thermostatIf *** wants a new thermostat, then he should buy one instead of expecting one for freeIt seems he is more interested in getting something for free rather than being fair-mindedWe don't appreciate an illegitimate complaint in a effort to try and manipulate his way to a free thermostat

I am rejecting this response because: In my mind, every branded new furnace is included with a thermostat. Besides, I checked with other friends who telling me their experience that the thermostat is included when they replace a new branded furnace. They never ask for the thermostat from their supplier, but they all get a new thermostat.  Even though my old thermostat is working, it is 15 year old. It does not means the old thermostat cover all the new function of the new 95% furnace. If the thermostat is not included in price, the company should have the responsiblity to make note or remark the quotaion and at leat verbally notify me in advance.
