Review: I hired the person to plant 5 trees on my property. From day one I complained to him that they where not planted deep enough. He came out a few times and said water them. I watered them daily for 2 months. Two of them were dying. He came out again in the Fall and said wait till Spring and see what happens, they are guaranteed for a year. After winter one was totally dead and the other was slowly dying. I called a few times and left a message. He called once then sent a check for one tree. I called about the second tree and got no reply. He charged me for a backhoe to plant the trees. When I took the dead trees out they were only planted a few inches below the surface. This is why the trees died, the water went under the roots. I questioned him about this in an email I wrote him asking for my money for the other tree. I have never gotten a response. I feel he is very unprofessional. He should have come to see me in the Spring to access the situation. Especially after telling me to wait till Spring. I feel he also charged me for services not needed or used properly. My son and I replaced the trees with new ones and dug the holes with a shovel with no problems. The trees are growing great. We added some dirt and mulch to the trees. When he first planted I told him I was not happy. He kept telling me to water. Trees planted right should not be easily moved by the wind or touching them like the ones he planted. I would like to be reimbursed for the second tree and half the cost of the backhoe and labor.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the second tree $25, replacement tree $55, and half of the backhoe $80.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
The trees were not neglected and they where not root ball they were bare roots. And when I called I was not rude, I was factual about the situation. The new tree and bush are growing just fine there now. I have had [redacted]'s tree farm experts access the situation for me when they came to plant trees for me. They said it was a sloppy job and the trees were not planted deep enough for the water to reach the roots. Hope others don't get the same unprofessional treatment.

As of today Oct.7, 2013. I have not recieved a refund for the tree. You closed the case because of a satisfactory outcome. I am still waiting for a $25.00 refund for the tree which he said he would do. Now what do I do? [redacted]
