O.T. Howell Roofing

Review: O. T. Howell installed a new roof on our home in January, 2009. He provided us with a ten year warranty on workmanship. Water leaked from the roof through the ceiling in our back bedroom in September, 2015 resulting in damage to the ceiling which will need to be repaired and repainted. We believe the leak is due to improper flashing in the roof around the dormer window above that room Our house is 67 years old and prior to this roof being installed, the ceiling has never leaked in that area. We sent Mr. Howell two certified letters requesting that he address this matter, but he has failed to respond in any way.Desired Settlement: Repair the faulty roof and repair and repaint the ceiling in the bedroom.

In 2012 the dormer in front of house leaked, I had to remove the siding, install felt paper over wood siding, & put siding back on, billed for work but never got paid. the leak was not due to my workmanship.After a heavy snow, ice damns may form due to freezing, & back water up, this is an act of GOD, & not faulty workmanship.A rule of thumb, a roof will leak after the first rain due to workmanship, not 7 years later.I will be more than happy to go back only if I am compensated for my time & payment from work in 2012.Sincerely,O.
