Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
1. I was never given the option of scheduling a later walkthrough - in fact, I take offense to this statement. I specifically requested to be called if there were to be any issues that may result in additional charges - that would imply that I would have accepted a later walkthrough if given the opportunity. I was never called. At the very least I could have been called prior to management arranging carper cleaning and/or any additional repairs.
2. We handed back the apartment in a better condition than we found it (I took off work especially to clean the apartment) and that was why I wanted to ensure that we were not going to incur any additional charges.
3. We did everything in our power to ensure that we don't incur any additional charges and that we would be informed upfront of any potential additional charges, to give us the opportunity to respond - but it seems that management never had the intent of acting in our best interests which is very dissapointing.

This letter is in response to the Complaint submitted to your office by [redacted] concerning a disputed final account statement. We have looked into the allegations set forth by Complainant and would like to take this opportunity to respond.

review, the final security deposit statement fully accounted for the charges incurred as a result of Ms. [redacted]’s tenancy at Oswego Pointe. All charges were based on returning the unit to its original condition and due to damages beyond normal wear and tear. The work performed was necessary to return the unit to move-in ready condition. While we appreciate that Ms. [redacted] disputes the findings, the charges will stand. In regards to the final walkthrough, Ms. [redacted] requested a walkthrough without prior arrangement on December 2nd. Claimant was informed that Management was not available at such time and Ms. [redacted] was requested to schedule a walkthrough for a later date/time and declined to do so.
