OSBORNES AUTO REPAIR

Review: I told Osborne's auto repair that I had a FREE "check engine" scan at [redacted] with a P-0171 code result. But there were many possibilities of what could be wrong. I asked Osborne auto if their scanner could specifically pinpoint the parts that were causing the problem and I was told that it could. They scanned the car and told me that the code was P-0171. I told them I already knew that information from the FREE scan at [redacted]. Osborne charged $59 and told me to have the car scanned at the DMV and bring the results back to them. The DMV also scans the car for FREE and the result was P-0171 again. Osborne told me to bring the car back and leave it for two hours or more so it could be fixed. I took the car to a very competent mechanic who fixed the problem in two minutes without requiring any parts.It's my opinion that Osborne's auto repair, intentionally and fraudulently mislead and misrepresented their service in order to bilk me out of $59.Desired Settlement: A check for $59 would settle this matter.
