This company is a complete scam. They will take all your money and do a terrible job at it. The lady that works there is so unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend them!!
I'm sorry but we do not have anyone in our database with that name. We are an upstanding company and guarantee our work and definitely not scammers. We are well respected throughout Tampa Bay.
Jim failed to install a properly working thermostat and fail to show up twice for appts he has set to replace the thermostat and do clean and tune.
Jim at Orion installed the ac in oct 2016. The thermostat has never work properly and the ac has been cycling on and off incorrectly. He has set up appts to replace it and clean and tune the ac system but fail to show up twice and I have not been able to get a hold of him via many emails and phone calls and voicemail and text. I was hoping he would return the emails or phone call and text to re schedule the appt again. But he never did. I did not have any choice but complain here and then to the state licensing board if we are not able to get the issue resolve here.
Would like: 1. Thermostat to be replace and tested for proper function. 2. Clean, tune, and do maintenance check on the system as per the installation contract. 3. Repair any problem arise as per the guarranty on the contract.
This reply was taken verbally by Revdex.com:
The customer's system is working properly. The the unit and the tstat were installed they were installed in the same location as they were originally. We have informed the customer a few times that the issue could be that the tstate is not in the proper location.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The old thermostat and location were working with the old system. So it is not the location, and no where that he told me because of thermostat location.
Under the 2 years warranty, he is suppose to tune up and check the system 2 times, once for each year. He made appts twice and did not show up twice.
The tenant confirm he did not show up.
Thank you
The only mistake that I have done was I should've specified that I cannot perform maintenances in the busy season. Alot of a/c companies, large or small do NOT conduct maintenances in the busy season. I can only conduct them between October thru April. I will get in touch with customer and schedule and put this to rest. I will only replace the thermostat One time and ONE time only just to make them happy. If there is still a problem, with the new one, then the customer will have to pay to relocate thermostat to proper area. The thermostats that we install are the best Honeywell thermostats and they almost never have problems. Also the customer needs to realize that I have to tell her the schedule and when I'm available. This whole time, she would demand which day I would have to go there and things don't work like that. The best thing for me to do, is call the tenant that lives there and schedule it with them since this homeowner doesn't live in state. Once I am done, I will call the homeowner and update her. She is very demanding and always wants things done her way. I should have picked up the red flags from her from the beginning but it's too late now. We'll just have to play out the rest of the contract BUT as I've stated, the maintenances will only be performed between Oct-April.
Hi ***,
1. What Jim said in his response is not really true. He made two appointments and left the tenants hanging on in April and one on May 2, 2018. He did not even have the courtesy to let the tenant know that he is not showing up for the appts.
Recently, after my complaint to Revdex.com, Jim send an email said he will schedule an appt and ask for tenant phone number again. Tenant said he call Jim prior as Jim had made 2 appts and did not show up for either one. One in April 2018, and one in May 2 2018. As you can see those dates are in the low season. But Jim never return the phone call or have the courtesy to tell the tenant that he is not showing up so the tenant end up waiting around and get upset. The tenant told me he is available only on WED for appt. So I try to schedule with Jim for WED, for that Jim labeled me demanding.
Jim said he will schedule with tenant but so far I have not heard anything and that Jim did not let me know whether he have schedule or not schedule. As you have experience first hand, you try to contact Jim but to no avail until a long time later, and you have to call him as he does not return phone calls or emails. So, I really would like a definite date and a definite appt to resolve the problem. From all my emails and writing to Revdex.com, do I sound demanding to you? Please, I really would like to know.
As for accept or not accept. I am not able to answer that as he has not either make an appt or let me know that he has make an appt. I really need to be included in the loop. Is that too much to ask?
Thanks so much for all your help.
