Origin Bank

I set up several accounts with Origin Bank over 5 years ago in a different location that is no longer open with a bank person that is no longer with the company. At the time, I set up for automatic withdrawal from savings if insufficient funds when a check came through. I have never needed to use this service until last month. However, when the check came through, funds were not pulled from my savings account and I was charged overdraft fees in the amount of $80. When I called to inquire about this, I was told the automatic withdrawal was not set up on my accounts but they could set it up that day. I asked about being refunded the overdraft fees and was told that it was not the bank's fault that this was not set up and these could not be credited. When I explained the situation that this was supposed to be on the account, I was told to send in proof that this was on the account the day I set it up. I have searched through 50 pages of account information and nothing stipulates this was set up. From my understanding, it is not industry standard to provide any documentation of this service being on and this bank is likely aware of that. This bank has also made several updates to their systems since I opened my account and I suspect that values may have been reset. I am in IT so I know this can happen. I want this bank to refund the $80 in fees I was charged for the bank's error. I have never been overdrawn and until last week had several accounts at this bank. All but the checking account have been closed as a result of this incident. I am not a credit risk and have a credit score well over 800. Given the response from this bank already, I do not anticipate the rightful refund being issued but did want this out there for customers to be aware of how this bank operates. There are likely others with accounts in this scenario and the bank will get a nice profit in fees. I was dealing with a man named Michael
