BEWARE We had a problem with a new H.Pcomputer we had just purchasedWe call H.Psupport and they transferred us to Febline Incwhich we thought was part of H.PThey charged us $for a life time supportAfter attempts computer still not workingCall H.Pagain to fine out Febline was not associated with themAfter calling Febline and complaining they did refund us $Revdex.com needs to monitor this company
services were just fine. They fixed my problem in a timely manner. Thank you.
I stupidly contracted with Orange Tech, initially thinking that it was an authorized service for my epson printer. This is per a google search which was misleading, and upon questioning the claim by the company that it was authorized. The company found 'serious problems' with security they said threatened my whole computer. They fixed the printing problem and sold me a three year maintenance contract.
These are the fraudulent elements:
1. purporting to be an epson sanctioned service, both by advertising and assertion when asked to verify.
2. finding 'serious security issues' even though I had the appropriate safeguards in place, never really identifying these 'serious issues,'
3. the history of storefront businesses owned by Ahmad D[redacted] who lives in India. Mr. D[redacted] answers the phone number supplied for the visa debit with 'hello' and upon questioning says ...'this is Orange Tech.'
4. charging a reasonable $99 for the initial fix but refusing to acknowledge this amount when I asked for the contract portion to be refunded: "I don't know where you get the amount of $90." While they originally outlined the separate charges in a document on my desktop, this document had been deleted. Only the bundled total of $318 was documented on the final contract.
5. despite being a few days over the 15 day period for cancelling, which too late I discovered in the fine print of the contract, refunding only $110. (Mr. D[redacted] calmly asked for the date of my contract and realizing I had passed the 15 days, very calmly referred me to the billing 'office.' I had, of course, not used any 'services' other than the initial fix for which I was more than willing to pay.
6. high pressure, manipulative, false statements which frightened me into accepting the 'contract.'
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are listed as HP support in the google search results I received, so BEWARE. They fraudulently MISREPRESENT themselves as HP printer support.
They are not! In fact, they are in no way affiliated with HP.
During the call they townladed software to my PC and started looking around, at files, at browsers and who knows what else. They then proceeded to tell me that I had "network" viruses that needed to eliminated and endeavoured to try to sell me a one time fix fo $99.99. It was at this point that I realized I was not talking to HP but in fact someone else who did not identify themselves. They breacehd my personal and computer secutiy and for all I know may have downloaded viruses or tracking software leaving personally and technically vulnerable. Don't let this happen to you. Avoid them at all costs.
Printer fixed very fast, curtious service. would like to have Shawn as technician if needed for future service.
We thought we were calling HP support. After they couldn't resolve our problem with hooking up our HP laser printer to our very new desktop computer, they said there is an independent contractor that could help us and automatically transferred our call. They took remote access of our NEW computer and said we had a major network problem and they could fix it (price $499.99). We're elderly and panicked so we agreed and after a few days problem still existed. We ended up hiring independent local computer consultant and he said this was very questionable service and he was able to fix it in no time. I tried calling today the number HP gave me to call them if we had further problems and today they answered phone and it was Orange Tech Services, however they said they don't solicit calls. Why is the Revdex.com rating them so high. This is stupid, more info needs to be provided to stop these SCAMS!! We're being taken by is in India and there is nothing we can do about it??????? Revdex.com needs to due diligence
Thank you to my new friend Kevin for doing such an amazing job in fixing my computer! He was a great help to me.......
