Return policy includes 25% restocking fee which is very poorly disclosed, virtually hidden.I purchased a robe online on November 16th from a description and very small picture on their website. When it arrived on November 18th I examined it and found it wasn't what I thought it was from the description. I emailed the company to find out how to return it and they informed me of a 25% restocking fee, which after the exchange of several emails they said was disclosed IF I actually read all the fine print of their policies immediately before checking a small box (which I did) completing my purchase. I assumed their policies contained all the usual stuff which virtually no one ever reads and impossible to read from a cell phone or iPad. I told them they should go to great efforts to disclose this policy to online shoppers and that a charge of 25% was usury and obscenely high. They only offer to give you a store credit. There wasn't anything else I wanted to purchase. I mailed the item back at my expense and complained to [redacted] which is suspending the transaction and sent a complaint to [redacted]. As I said, such an atrocious policy should be made abundantly clear to consumers. It is not. In the end, it is costing me $40 in total costs on a purchase of $118. This is wrong.Desired SettlementI would like a total refund on my purchase with the exception of the wrapping charges and possibly allow them to deduct $7 for the free shipping.... This policy is prominently disclosed in the "return section" of our site, the site also requires that you check a box before your order can even be processed agreeing that you have read the terms and conditions and that you agree to them. I am sorry that the customer did not read this, however he did check the box that he read it. This fee is put into place to protect our discerning customers who do not want to purchase products that have been shipped all over the country a few times.The staff here is available always to assist with any product questions that a customer might have. We did waive the fee for the customer and offer him the ability to exchange the robe for full credit. He chose not to do that. Our products are not of the type to order, look at, return. Restock fees are quite common in our luxury product industry for online sales. We are not a big box store, our customer service (when asked) is excellent and therefore we experience very few returns.
