I went to you back in early February I had a great deal through Groupon and figured I would come in, as I was well past due time, I have to say the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and greeted me as I came inWhen the Drwas ready for me he was very blunt, rough I could say with his way of speaking and postureAs the appointment continued he was even judgmental about the glasses I had and the prescription given to meI didn't say anything as I knew the deal I was getting was unbeatableToday months months later I called in to get my prescription information and the same nice guys at the front desk answered, needless to say he kept his cool gave me some yet not all information I needed for my prescription as supposedly he wasn't allowed to give out the informationNot only did he not give me the information but he wanted to charge me additional money to get my lenses replaced due to the UV peeling/melting and said it was my fault I have never had a UV problem in the past with my previous glasses and yet he continued to say that with the amount of money I paid what was to be expectedHe even referred to the scratched discounted Coach frames he sold to me because he had no more options to offerI wouldn't go to or even refer Optical Experts

Mr [redacted] is greatly mistaken! He did not follow all the terms and conditions required for the promotion He purchased a voucher that was to be used TOWARD the purchase of an eye exam and SINGLE VISION lenses! When the eye exam revealed the need / recommendation for more than just SINGLE VISION LENSES by the doctorand his own choice of a frame that would cause his purchase to cost more than the value of the promotion--he claimed something to the extent of "fraud" His request for a copy of the prescription was denied as he had chosen NOT to follow the terms of the promotion which stated that the WHOLE PROMOTION BE COMPLETED IN SAME VISIT He wanted only one part of the promotion while not following the terms and conditions of the whole promotion Never the less, his complaint for a refund is unfounded as Mr [redacted] never spent any money with Optical Experts and we owe him nothingALL fees were paid to [redacted] for the promotion We have communicated with [redacted] and requested that they refund his purchase His voucher was UNREDEEMED the same day! We have provided thousands of people with service using [redacted] , [redacted] , [redacted] , and [redacted] *** Regards, Well, where do I begin? I must say whomever wrote this certainly has a skewed view of the events and in my opinion, a interesting and rather humorous memory! I did attempt to follow the terms of the contract, as in the value must be used in a single visit by myselfI only asked for a copy of the prescription that the Optometrist wrote after the exam(I believe they stated this cost or value was $60.) I paid [redacted] $(I was given a $discount over the $stated cost because I purchased early) The voucher states I was eligible for "$of value towards an eye exam, frames and single vision polycarbonate lenses"I had no idea at the time of purchase the difference between single vision or any other type of vision lensesI currently only wear reading glasses and had no idea what the exam would revealAt no time did I ever mention fraud, nor did I allude to any such thing while in their officeI sat patiently and quietly while the technician explained all of the costs of the glasses it was suggested I needed, and the cost of these after my "credit of $160" was in excess of $Feeling that this cost was excessive I asked if I could have my credit applied to the cost of the eye exam and get my prescriptionI was told no, that I could pay $for the exam and they would tell [redacted] that my coupon was unused and ask them for a refundI took my voucher and left and attempted to collect or request a refund through [redacted] , but the voucher was marked as used by the vendor, so I could notI called the clinic and left a message on their machine that they had marked the voucher as used and this made it unable for me to useI also left my home phone for them to call me so I could attempt to collect a refund, but I never received a callIt was after this I filed a Revdex.com complaint The assertion that I was difficult to work with and unreasonable is quite laughableAt no point was I disruptive, loud or unreasonableI was certainly disappointed that I couldn't get the prescription for my stated $value, but I left the clinic and followed their suggested course of actionTo claim anything else only shows how unprofessional and unreasonable they areI would love to meet the patient(s) that said I should have been thrown out! Removed for what? All I did was ask for what I thought I had coming in tones and then left and attempted to follow the course of action that I have outlinedWhat is really humorous is the cheap bd comment came directly from me when I was asked by the person at the front desk what the glasses were I was wearingI told them they were $ [redacted] (reading glasses) as that is all I have needed for eyewear at this point, and then laughed and said I was a cheap bd as a joke If the optometrist were asked about my attitude, demeanor and behavior during the exam he would relate that I was not disruptive nor anything other than a model patient or customerThe only time I was anything else was after I asked for my prescription and was told no, and this would be an additional $I honestly still don't know why a $credit doesn't cover my cost of me exam and then giving me the prescriptionI fully intended to follow their recommended course of action, and then filed the complaint after they didn't return my callI will be very curious to see what another optometrist recommends and the cost of the same frames, lenses, coatings and glasses The tone and wording of their response to my complaint and the cost and their actions after the exam only adds further to my feeling of their lack of professionalism and a bait and switch approach Thanks! Optical Experts has provided everything ordered and authorized on a timely basis Due to the use of Care Credit, it even required that we cancel the initial order and place a second order for progressive lensesThe lab charges us for the first order as well as the second Optical Experts wants an equitable resolution Something fair to both sides We cannot refund the Groupon voucher cost as those fees are paid to Groupon and not to Optical Experts We will offer to share the cost of the eyewear and issue a 50% refund of $(Care Credit)

I'd like to thank you for taking the time to look into this. I tried to reply on the website but it limits me to characters not words and clearly not enough to reply as I need to therefore I am sending this wayI apologize in advance if I sound rude please do not take it personal I am just extremely upset and frustrated about this situation and seems that my time and efforts to resolve this issue are not being addressedI would prefer to speak to someone if possibleThat being said I have replied based on the merchant's response. 1.On the comment of offering me an optional pair of glasses: I don't need anymore glassesIn fact I have a pair of over the counter glasses that I paid $for and I have been wearing for a year now and can see better out of them than the pair Optical Experts sold me for $I went back and told them I was not satisfied with the glasses as well and was re-examined and told by the Optometrist that my prescription was slightly different from the 1st time and that I only need reading glasses not necessary for anything more and told me it was due to my diabetes which is well under control and borderline not full blown diabetesIn addition, as previously mentioned I went to a Optometrist and was tested for diabetic eye problems and was told that I don't need prescription glasses and if reading is a problem the original pair I had the $pair would be sufficient since there were no problems with my vision and no diabetic related problemsYet Optical Experts persuaded me into believing I would better benefit from the progressive prescription they recommendedI don't see how another pair of glasses is going to benefit me, do you? How is offering me another pair justified when I was misled into believing I needed something that I clearly do not! As for the first pair made at my request. The decision was not made on pro's and cons as they statedAt the time of the exam the Optometrist walked me out to the main lobby and I was seated with a salesperson who then explained the different options and when I told her that I couldn't afford to buy the progressives she insisted that it was was the doctor recommended based on his examination and would be better for my eyes as well as more convenient so not have to switch between glassesI opted for the reading glasses only at $or so because I am on limited income and on assistance and could not afford the progressive lenses with the UV coating, and transition from clear to dark when outdoorsI provided them with a deposit and the next day maybe the 2nd day after initial visit I found out they accepted Care Credit which I had available credit to purchase the recommended glasses withSo I called them and explained that I had this card and if it was their opinion that I needed the other lenses that I would get them instead and charge them to the cardA couple days later I went in and they eagerly attended to me showing me numerous glasses and making their saleWhen it was time to pick them up I wasn't happy with the vision thru the lenses and was told it would take a couple of weeks for my eyes to adjust and if there was still a problem to come back which I didThat is when they told me it wasn't the glasses that it was my diabetes (which it is not!)3. Standard policy allows for replacement of eye wear in situations where a customer is not satisfied.Aren't they suppose to have this posted someplace or advise the customers at time of purchase? I was never told about any replacement or return/refund policies and there is nothing posted on the website, the store or Groupon. Optical Experts would be providing two pair of eyeglass lenses for only the cost of the first pair. We have offered to replace the original lenses.Again, I don't need another pair of glasses and after being lied to , misled, and basically scammed out of $400+ dollars I don't care to do any kind of business with this establishment at allWhy would I? Not to mention what are they replacing the original lenses for? another pair of readers? Why would I pay $400+ for a pair of readers? again, would you? As for the comment about them not being liable or responsible for refunding Groupon cost of voucher.Well Groupon didn't advertise for them without their knowledgeOptical Experts set up the account, they set up the offer, and they also set up the available options, disclaimers, terms and conditions and yes they even have the ability to either copy and paste of write in anything pertaining to refunds, returns, policies, how many can be purchased and moreSo for them to say they are not responsible for the offer they posted on a 3rd party site to draw in business at a discounted price is not correct eitherI bought and then was told that the credits issued where out of courtesy! really? no the Groupon was for (copied from the actual Groupon)$for an Eye Care Package with Exam and Prescription Eyewear (Up to $Value)Complete routine eye exam (up to a $value)Standard plastic single-vision prescription lenses (a $value)Frames (an $value)So Basically they are saying they sold me a $pair of glasses with the discounts they gave me? I've seen Authentic Oakleys that are progressive and transition that were half that with no discounts! This business is SCAMMING people into buying eyeglasses they don't need and over inflating their prices in my opinion. I can't even wear the glasses they sold me because I can't see out of them!

Office policy is no refunds--full credit only toward any remakes, changes, or corrections Customer told me she has experienced a death in the family and is short on funds, therefore the request for refund This eyewear order is months old and customer has had the eyewear with no
communication of dissatisfaction with us during that time Prescription eyewear is custom made and not returnable--therefore our credit policy. If customer had read the internet *** offer properly, she would know that it's value was $ Her items selected totalled more than the *** voucherThe maximum *** value was deducted from her selection, and she was responsible for, agreed to, and paid for the difference before the eyewear was ordered She could have declined use of the voucher, or the eyewear purchase at any time before she agreed to, and paid for the eyewear. All prices are clearly marked on all eyewear and all fees were itemized, documented on the work order, and agreed to BEFORE customer made payment in full.Numerous options were offered on any vision problem Customer only wants money back Original eyewear prescription is available, but due to HPPA regulations can only be given to patient, email is not an option.Customer is unreasonable, uncooperative, and was using profanityCommunication on the phone was ended

Optical Experts regrets hearing of this dissatisfactionOur offer to provide an alternative pair of eye wear still standsWe made the first pair per the customer's authorization based on all the pros and cons of single vision readers vs progressivesEye wear is never provided on a "trial"
basis It is expected that payment is provided for what is orderedStandard policy allows for replacement of eye wear in situations where a customer is not satisfied The cost of the second pair of replacement eye wear is done at the company's expense--no additional fee to the customer This policy is valid for days Obviously, Optical Experts would be providing two pair of eyeglass lenses for only the cost of the first pair We have offered to replace the original lenses The customer says she now wants only reading lenses Optical Experts will comply, but she may choose something else if preferred OR, she may have in-store credit for another family member if within the day exchange of the original item.

Regards,
Well, where do I begin? I must say whomever wrote this certainly has a skewed view of the events and in my opinion, a interesting and rather humorous memory! I did attempt to follow the terms of the contract, as in the value must be used in a single visit by myself. I only asked for a copy of the prescription that the Optometrist wrote after the exam. (I believe they stated this cost or value was $60.) I paid [redacted] $26.00 (I was given a $3 discount over the $29 stated cost because I purchased early) The voucher states I was eligible for "$160 of value towards an eye exam, frames and single vision polycarbonate lenses". I had no idea at the time of purchase the difference between single vision or any other type of vision lenses. I currently only wear reading glasses and had no idea what the exam would reveal. At no time did I ever mention fraud, nor did I allude to any such thing while in their office. I sat patiently and quietly while the technician explained all of the costs of the glasses it was suggested I needed, and the cost of these after my "credit of $160" was in excess of $500. Feeling that this cost was excessive I asked if I could have my credit applied to the cost of the eye exam and get my prescription. I was told no, that I could pay $60 for the exam and they would tell [redacted] that my coupon was unused and ask them for a refund. I took my voucher and left and attempted to collect or request a refund through [redacted], but the voucher was marked as used by the vendor, so I could not. I called the clinic and left a message on their machine that they had marked the voucher as used and this made it unable for me to use. I also left my home phone for them to call me so I could attempt to collect a refund, but I never received a call. It was after this I filed a Revdex.com complaint.
The assertion that I was difficult to work with and unreasonable is quite laughable. At no point was I disruptive, loud or unreasonable. I was certainly disappointed that I couldn't get the prescription for my stated $160 value, but I left the clinic and followed their suggested course of action. To claim anything else only shows how unprofessional and unreasonable they are. I would love to meet the patient(s) that said I should have been thrown out! Removed for what? All I did was ask for what I thought I had coming in normal tones and then left and attempted to follow the course of action that I have outlined. What is really humorous is the cheap bd comment came directly from me when I was asked by the person at the front desk what the glasses were I was wearing. I told them they were $6 [redacted] (reading glasses) as that is all I have needed for
eyewear at this point, and then laughed and said I was a cheap bd as a joke.
If the optometrist were asked about my attitude, demeanor and behavior during the exam he would relate that I was not disruptive nor anything other than a model patient or customer. The only time I was anything else was after I asked for my prescription and was told no, and this would be an additional $60. I honestly still don't know why a $160 credit doesn't cover my cost of me exam and then giving me the prescription. I fully intended to follow their recommended course of action, and then filed the complaint after they didn't return my call. I will be very curious to see what another optometrist recommends and the cost of the same frames, lenses, coatings and glasses.
The tone and wording of their response to my complaint and the cost and their actions after the exam only adds further to my feeling of their lack of professionalism and a bait and switch approach.
Thanks!

I'd like to thank you for taking the time to look into this.  I tried to reply on the website but it limits me to 2000 characters not words and clearly not enough to reply as I need to therefore I am sending this way. I apologize in advance if I sound rude please do not take it personal I am just extremely upset and frustrated about this situation and seems that my time and efforts to resolve this issue are not being addressed. I would prefer to speak to someone if possible. That being said I have replied based on the merchant's response.
1.On the comment of offering me an optional pair of glasses:
I don't need anymore glasses. In fact I have a pair of over the counter glasses that I paid $20 for and I have been wearing for a year now and can see better out of them than the pair Optical Experts sold me for $440. I went back and told them I was not satisfied with the glasses as well and was re-examined and told by the Optometrist that my prescription was slightly different from the 1st time and that I only need reading glasses not necessary for anything more and told me it was due to my diabetes which is well under control and borderline not full blown diabetes. In addition, as previously mentioned I went to a Optometrist and was tested for diabetic eye problems and was told that I don't need prescription glasses and if reading is a problem the original pair I had the $20 pair would be sufficient since there were no problems with my vision and no diabetic related problems. Yet Optical Experts persuaded me into believing I would better benefit from the progressive prescription they recommended. I don't see how another pair of glasses is going to benefit me, do you? How is offering me another pair justified when I was misled into believing I needed something that I clearly do not!
2. As for the first pair made at my request.
The decision was not made on pro's and cons as they stated. At the time of the exam the Optometrist walked me out to the main lobby and I was seated with a salesperson who then explained the different options and when I told her that I couldn't afford to buy the progressives she insisted that it was was the doctor recommended based on his examination and would be better for my eyes as well as more convenient so not have to switch between glasses. I opted for the reading glasses only at $158 or so because I am on limited income and on assistance and could not afford the progressive lenses with the UV coating, and transition from clear to dark when outdoors. I provided them with a deposit and the next day maybe the 2nd day after initial visit I found out they accepted Care Credit which I had available credit to purchase the recommended glasses with. So I called them and explained that I had this card and if it was their opinion that I needed the other lenses that I would get them instead and charge them to the card. A couple days later I went in and they eagerly attended to me showing me numerous glasses and making their sale. When it was time to pick them up I wasn't happy with the vision thru the lenses and was told it would take a couple of weeks for my eyes to adjust and if there was still a problem to come back which I did. That is when they told me it wasn't the glasses that it was my diabetes (which it is not!)
3. Standard policy allows for replacement of eye wear in situations where a customer is not satisfied.
Aren't they suppose to have this posted someplace or advise the customers at time of purchase? I was never told about any replacement or return/refund policies and there is nothing posted on the website, the store or Groupon.
4. Optical Experts would be providing two pair of eyeglass lenses for only the cost of the first pair.  We have offered to replace the original lenses.

Why would I? Not to mention what are they replacing the original lenses for? another pair of readers? Why would I pay $400+ for a pair of readers? again, would you?
5. As for the comment about them not being liable or responsible for refunding Groupon cost of voucher.
Well Groupon didn't advertise for them without their knowledge. Optical Experts set up the account, they set up the offer, and they also set up the available options, disclaimers, terms and conditions and yes they even have the ability to either copy and paste of write in anything pertaining to refunds, returns, policies, how many can be purchased and more. So for them to say they are not responsible for the offer they posted on a 3rd party site to draw in business at a discounted price is not correct either. I bought 1 and then was told that the credits issued where out of courtesy! really? no the Groupon was for (copied from the actual Groupon)
$39 for an Eye Care Package with Exam and Prescription Eyewear (Up to $200 Value)
Complete routine eye exam (up to a $60 value)
Standard plastic single-vision prescription lenses (a $60 value)
Frames (an $80 value)
So Basically they are saying they sold me a $680 pair of glasses with the discounts they gave me? I've seen Authentic Oakleys that are progressive and transition that were half that with no discounts!
This business is SCAMMING people into buying eyeglasses they don't need and over inflating their prices in my opinion.
I can't even wear the glasses they sold me because I can't see out of them!

Numerous options for resolution have been submitted.  The customer may select one of these solutions.  We are willing to compromise--which means give and take from BOTH sides.  Full cash refund is not an option for correctly made eyewear.  Buyers remorse 2 months after the fact is not cause for a refund.

I went to you back in early February I had a great deal through Groupon and figured I would come in, as I was well past due time, I have to say the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and greeted me as I came in. When the Dr. was ready for me he was very blunt, rough I could say with his way of speaking and posture. As the appointment continued he was even judgmental about the glasses I had and the prescription given to me. I didn't say anything as I knew the deal I was getting was unbeatable. Today 3 months months later I called in to get my prescription information and the same nice guys at the front desk answered, needless to say he kept his cool gave me some yet not all information I needed for my prescription as supposedly he wasn't allowed to give out the information. Not only did he not give me the information but he wanted to charge me additional money to get my lenses replaced due to the UV peeling/melting and said it was my fault I have never had a UV problem in the past with my previous glasses and yet he continued to say that with the amount of money I paid what was to be expected. He even referred to the scratched discounted Coach frames he sold to me because he had no more options to offer. I wouldn't go to or even refer Optical Experts.

Again, Mr [redacted] is in error as the promotion was $29.00!  NOT $26.00!

Mr [redacted] was difficult to work with and totally unreasonable. His attitude in the office was MOST DISRUPTIVE and other patients said he should have been thrown out.  We were warned of possible resistance when Mr [redacted] entered our office and before he ever signed in claimed he was "A CHEAP *&^#(#@#!"

We have provided thousands of people with service using [redacted], and [redacted].

Thanks!

Terry [redacted]
