NEVER EVER buy a car from Opelika Ford! We had my car appraised, an amount set for it, I had gotten a loan for the car approved already(they knew this), HAD AN APPOINTMENT to go buy an Expedition from them, got there 10 min before our appointment and because someone came to look at the car right before we got there, they let them buy the car as we stood there. *** is not even the word for it! Not to mention the general manager was a complete *** and all he could say was "first come first serve." We set up the appointment the day before and was NEVER told first come first serve or anything!!! Come to find out from our sales guy (WHO WAS AWESOME btw) that this is the second time this month they have done that to him! I get the whole thing of people not showing up for appointments or whatever HOWEVER, why not tell the people who came to look at the car that "someone has an appointment to come buy it at 4:30 so if they come, it's their car, if not then it's yours." We called the owner and he even said he saw in the computer all of the things we did beforehand and that he saw we had an appointment! I will never do business with them and if anyone else does they are stupid!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS!
Went yesterday evening trying to get another car. Stayed waited for a hour to tell me they won't do anything and they would look into more options tomorrow morning since they were closing in 15 minutes. We drove a hour and 15 minutes to be told this. Never once on the phone did they mention it or anything after we asked. Never again will we do busy there. It's completely unprofessional. Also was trying to get us in a brand new car after telling them we didn't want a brand new one right now. We needed something our payments were going to be cheaper now then what we were paying on our current car. So the hour we waited was for something we didn't even want from the start and they knew it.
I went through the purchase process on a vehicle with Opelika Ford starting 5/10 concluding and scheduling pickup in the evening on 5/11/2018. I have a purchase agreement with Sales Manager signature dated 5/10/2018, I provided loan approval documentation, copy of ID, proof of insurance etc. throughout the day 5/11/2018. The Sales manager had answered questions about our taking delivery of the vehicle and we scheduled pick up with our salesman the afternoon of 5/11/2018. One hour and fifteen minutes into our drive to the dealership and just prior to arrival at the dealership(an hour earlier than expected i.e. we were not late picking up the vehicle) we were informed it had been sold. I was told it's "first come, first served" yet the customers buying the vehicle when I arrived had only started the transaction that day and documentation I have in hand(purchase agreement) with signature of Opelika Ford Sales Mgr. is dated the day before. In this instance, they were not true to their word. Copies of supporting documentation available. This is unethical and unprofessional to say the least. I don't recommend doing business at this dealership.

Thank you for providing the me information on Mr. *** on the attempted purchase of one of our internet previously owned automobiles. Mr. contacted our dealership inquiring on one of our internet vehicles on 5/10/18 just as he says, but at that time there was no commitment to purchase in fact he did ask for figures to go to his credit union to see if he could be approved. The sales person *** shared that it is very possible that the vehicle could get sold because he had no deposit to hold the vehicle. He even told Mr. on more than one occasion that he could not hold the car. As luck would have it a customer came in and bought the vehicle. We tried to make it right, and we found a brand new 17 model that he could have bought for very close in price, but he failed to tell us that he had a trade that was in less than good shape with air bag deployment that was never mentioned. We still don't know if he was approved as you will see the document with stipulations attached. With all that being said we would still like to sell Mr. a vehicle if we could trade for something he likes. Very sorry for any inconvenience to Mr. and his family.

Had a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and experienced. They made the whole buying experience easy and less stressful. I will be back.
