O'Neill Auto Rental

Review: I bought a vehicle from Mr. O'Neill's business and after making 2 years of car payments, I am being told that I need to further pay for a title transfer. When I first met with the saleman, [redacted], I paid the deposit and was told that tax and title fees were included in the purchase price. In the 2 years that I made my payments, all on time, [redacted] had left the company and Rich O'Neill took over my account. I made my final payment and was told to meet Mr. O'Neill at the auto tags business to transfer the title and I am responsible for the payment. He now states that it was a lease purchase. In all of my years purchasing vehicles, I have never needed to meet an owner of a car lot/dealership at a separate auto tags location and pay additional transfer fees. I had asked Mr. O'Neill to split the cost of the title transfer with me since it was his employee who told me that I had already paid tax and title fees in my down payment, and Mr. O'Neill refused. He is now threatening to send my title to Penn DOT and say it is a junk title so that I cannot drive my vehicle. This seems a little extreme when I have tried to make a compromise with this man.Desired Settlement: I would like the title of my car that I have rightfully paid for. I am still willing to split the cost of this fee, which he states is "around $85" with Mr O'Neill and part our separate ways. I do not believe that after paying more than $5665 for a vehicle with a Kelley Blue Book value of $1298 should require any further payments after I was told that the fees were already included.
