Review: Beginning in fall 2012 I began receiving emails from O'Neil Buick intended for a customer named [redacted]. These emails pertained to service on his vehicle, billing and other financial issues. I called O'Neil Buick to report these emails and was promised that this issue would be addressed.

Then in 2013 a new series of emails from O'Neil Buick began arriving, this time intended for a customer named [redacted]. They were of the same nature as the one's intended for [redacted]. This time they pertain to a different car. I have called multiple times and each time was assured that this matter would be handled and that my email would be disassociated with this person's account. Yet, the emails persist.

They persist even though I have never been to O'Neil Buick or have ever had any other dealings with this firm.Desired Settlement: I want a letter informing me of what steps have been taken to remove my email from O'Neil Buick's system. I would like to receive assurance that my personal information has not been inappropriately acquired or compromised in any form by employees of O'Neil Buick, or any one else affiliated with the company. Finally, I would also like to know what steps have been taken to alert the customers in question that their personal information has been sent to an affiliated third party.

O'Neil Buick GMC has removed the requested e-mail address from our database and has notified its affiliates to do the same. O'Neil Buick GMC has notified the corresponding party via letter. The assessment, after thorough research of our system, is that the information was linked via e-mail due to similarity in e-mail addresses, and was completely accidental. The O'Neil Buick GMC customer information database is comprised of customers who have shopped at and do business with O'Neil Buick GMC. Customer satisfaction and security are extremely important, and we apologize for any errors or inconsistencies and ask for the understanding of all parties in our effort to rectify the situation.
