Attached is my response to complaint No. ***.Barry VOne Shot Home Inspection, LLCDear Ms. ***This letter is written in response to your complaint to the Revdex.com on August 3, 2015, ID NO. ***. I must respectfully disagree with your complaint to the Better...
Business Bureau. Our inspection agreement specifically indicated that "latent and concealed defects and deficiencies are excluded from the inspection." At the time of the inspection the roof was covered with a number of inches of snow and my report indicates that the ground was covered with snow, the temperature was 19°, and the valleys of the roof were not visible. These conditions were pointed out to the seller's representative and to the broker at the time of the inspection. I am sorry that you are having problems with the roof. However, these are problems that I could not possibly have seen at the time of the inspection.Very truly yours,Signature
Re: ID# [redacted]This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated January 17, 2017. I strongly object to the statements made by the customer and would respond to the statement as follows:1. The report submitted to the customer indicated that there was no sign of any recent...
leaking of the roof and any valleys on the roof were not visible at the time of the inspection.2. The report given to the customer specifically indicated that the ventilation in the attic is not adequate and should be increased.3. The report given to the customer specifically indicated that flooring was "spongy in front of the kitchen base cabinet".4. At the time of the inspection I had a conversation with the customer indicating that the flooring was spongy in front of the kitchen base cabinet, and that the sprayer handle was broken. I thereafter called the customer to specifically discuss the sprayer handle was broken and leaking. In summary, the roof was not leaking at the time of the inspection nor was there any indication of any recent leakage, and the ventilation problems in the attic were specifically brought to the customer's attention and included in the report. In addition, the problems with the kitchen flooring were specifically pointed out to the customer. Very truly yours, Barry Vickers
