We booked these movers to pack and move us. The first day, they showed up late and left without finishing, even though they promised the house would be packed on day 1 and moved and on day 2. The second day, they showed at 11am, left at 1pm and after numerous calls were finally reached at 8pm when they hadn’t showed up at our new house, couldn’t explain where they’d been all day, and claimed they had a flat tire and they’d fix it and be there on what was now day 3. We had to call our landlady and explain we needed an additional day to accommodate their issues. On day three, they unloaded and we unpacked to find broken dishes, a couch stained by greasy handprints, a cracked antique dresser top, and a box that a bleach bottle with no lid (there was one on it when we left) on it that ruined two Christmas presents for our family. All along the way I spoke with the owner/manager who kept apologizing and claiming this had never happened before and he would pay for damages once I sent photos. Three months and photos and a damage estimate later, he hasn’t returned emails, hasn’t reimbursed us, nor responded my repeated requests for reimbursement. While their site appears professional, I suspect they are taking advantage of people like us that had to move within a specific timeframe, doing shoddy work, then not taking responsibility for the damages they cause as people as so busy trying to catch up after a move gone so wrong. This company should be investigated for false advertising at the very least. Certainly, they can’t be trusted with simple jobs nor people’s valuable items, even in a 5-mile across town move.
