I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: Me and my boyfriend [redacted] moved into The Ridge 10/2014 [redacted] then [redacted] Mgr at the time, with a double deposit of $1000. I gave a 2 mo. notice to vacate apt#** 04/2016, the current Mgr [redacted] advised all I needed to do was clean and there would be a carpet fee and cleaning from our deposit. She walked through and checked for holes and any damage which was none. I then was notified her sister [redacted] would take over and assist as Mgr. I completed my walk through with [redacted] 05/09/2016, at that time there was not mention of heavy cleaning, carpet was old and only cleaned when we moved into unit 18 mo. ago. I have invoices that state (1) heavy cleaning $160, (2) invoice states carpert shampoo $60,3 stains removed, 5 carpet patches $120 total $415. I received a check 06/10/2016 for $360, even if I agreed which I the check should have been $585. I called and called the office on many occasions to speak with someone and advise of the error, [redacted] states there is another invoice and she would get them to me until this day she has not. I really not happy with the lies and the stories surrounding the carpet issues and the heavy cleaning, so I called the number on the invoice which state [redacted] Janitorial Services [redacted] email [redacted].com Address [redacted] The number for the invoices is disconnected and the address is not a business but a residence.Desired Settlement: I would like our entire Deposit of $1000 that is minus the $362 refunded back. This Mgmt has lied and now that I think they probably are taking from the under priveleged and or stealing and cheating from most tenants. I am a single Mother now and could not afford to stay on my own with 2 children. I have been honest and sincere to Mgmt and would like them to send the remaining $638 to address in file. If I owed the money it would be only fair for the deductions.

This office represents the managers of the Ridge at McClellan Apartments. We have been asked to respond to the above-described inquiry filed with your office by Ms. [redacted] According to the complaint, Ms. [redacted] believes that management has engaged in a practice of telling “lies” and “stories” regarding Ms. [redacted]’ security deposit disposition, a claim management rejects. After reviewing the documents in the file, it appears that management acted in a manner that conforms to the requirements of Civil Code §1950.5. As such, management rejects the claims as outlined by Ms. [redacted]. Management is of the opinion that they have acted responsibly and diligently with respect to its obligations pursuant to California Law. Hope this clears this matter. Sincerely, [redacted]
