A letter was mailed to Mr [redacted] on 12/23/I've attached a copy ? This letter is in response to your complaint filed through the Revdex.com on 12/8/16assigned an ID of [redacted] I contacted CunaMutual regarding your TruStage experience.? ? I spoke with Jennifer.? ? She stated thatyour life policy application was processed and a billing notice sent out on 12/5/with the amount of$due on 12/27.? ? On 12/the application for coverage was cancelled and therefore never activatedand never paid for by you.? ? According to TruStage a cancelation letter was sent out the same day andyou should have received said letter in business days.? ? At this time TruStage shows you have no activepolicies.? ? You also do not have the complimentary coverage as you have not signed up for it? ? The credit union does not take out life insurance policies on your behalf as your complaint states.? ? Thecredit union offers up to $2,coverage to its membership but that coverage MUST be signed up forand a beneficiary named I have added an ‘opt out’ code to your account so you should no longer receive mailers from Trustagefor insurance coverage optionsI hope this will prevent future misunderstandings I have discussed this with all staff and no one recalls helping you fill out paperwork or providing youcoverage details.? ? Staff did recall providing you with the phone number to TruStage to get your coveragequestions answered? ? We provide the options of obtaining life, accidental death, auto, and home insurance through TruStageto our membership.? ? We offer it as an option not a requirementNot all insurance coverage types fitevery person so our membership does need to determine what best suits their needs and situation.It is unfortunate that you felt your experience was a scamI hope this clarifies and resolves the matter toyour expectations? ? On 12/9 the application for coverage was cancelled and therefore never activatedand never paid for by you. According to TruStage a cancelation letter was sent out the same day andyou should have received said letter in 10 business days. At this time TruStage shows you have no activepolicies. You also do not have the complimentary coverage as you have not signed up for it.
The credit union does not take out life insurance policies on your behalf as your complaint states. Thecredit union offers up to $2,000 coverage to its membership but that coverage MUST be signed up forand a beneficiary named.
