Olson Construction

I hired Olson Construction to complete a remodel of my business involving moving electrical conduit for the lottery and removing a wall to open to the restaurant. The work was completed and during the process change orders were initiated and per the contract a new change order with the amount was to be confirmed prior to the work change to be completed. I was told there would be a small fee due to extra electrical conduit to move the lottery an addition 20 feet (from one side of the room as originally discussed to another wall). The work was completed and I was charged an additional $1451.25 above the contract amount. The original total bid for all the work was originally $5425.00. An additional 27% increase added to a final bill without prior agreement is excessive and way above what Joe said about the additional work. The additioanl electrical amount was $1049.25, and to remove a wall completely vs. leaving a finished 1/2 wall as orignally agreed to, was an additional $402.00. At the time his worked Mike said the wall was too unstable leave we agreed to go ahead and remove the entire wall which Mike commented "this will be much easier than finishing the 1/2 wall". Joe, the general contractor was barely on site, and seemed to only have concern about being paid. The door they installed hangs crooked and he has made many excuses for why they could not make it straight, as well as, the wall is not finished smooth for painting which I will ask my painter to finish as I do not want Joe back in my establishment.
