I bought a new car with 2 yr/25k miles free maintenance. WON'T use it. I put my trust in Olenders and Service Manager Ken, as I've done in the past. Reliable, service oriented and work is always done correctly. I can walk away knowing that the job is done correctly.
And no....they didn't ask me to write this.
Review: My vehicle was in an accident on 2/25/15 and I brought it to Olenders a week later to receive services to get my truck repaired. My truck was in the shop with Olenders for about a week and a half and when I picked up my vehicle, only one side of my truck was painted. When I went to pick up my vehicle on 3/21/15, it had snow on it, it wouldn't start and the customer service was horrible. As I was leaving the shop and begin to turn left to exit, I heard screeching noises as I turned and rattling in the back while I was on the highway. It sounded like my truck was going to fall apart. When I got home to fully examine my truck, there were dents and scratches on the right side of my truck that were never repaired. My insurance company paid this company over $5,000 to repair and paint the body of my vehicle but Olender's did a cheap job and only painted the left side of my vehicle. In addition, I took my truck to another shop and they said that my entire steering was destroyed so I needed to have a new one installed. That was another $3200. Overall, this company does not do quality work and I would not recommend them to anyone. They never called me to see how my vehicle was and I refused to bring my truck back to them to get repaired because they charged me for tires and rims that they never replaced.Desired Settlement: I would like an explanation as to why my vehicle was only painted on one side and I also would like to know where the erroneous charges came from. They shouldn't have been compensated for a half job. Truly a disappointing experience.

Response:
Dear [redacted] Betts,
[redacted] has asked me to address the list of complaints
submitted to the Revdex.com (ID #[redacted]) regarding the repairs done to her vehicle
under an [redacted] collision claim.
Also, I highly recommend that you contact the regional
supervisor for [redacted] @
###-###-####. [redacted] oversees the [redacted] direct repair shops in our area
and did an in person re- inspection of this vehicle at [redacted] Toyota. [redacted] reported
to me that he found NO issues regarding the repairs done at Olenders Body Shop
and the repairs were done completely and correctly as outlined on the final
estimate provided to the owner and [redacted].
Issues;
* “Only one side of my
vehicle painted and the dents/scratches on the right side were never repaired”.
Yes, only the left side of her Highlander was painted following the body
repairs to the left side. The insured reported only loss damage to the left
side to [redacted] asked us to estimate & repair only the left side.
Olender’s was never asked to look at, estimate and repair any damage on any
other areas of this vehicle including prior damage on the right side.
* “At pick up vehicle
had snow on it & would not start”, Yes I confirmed an overnight
snowfall had left about a ¼” of snow on all the vehicles in the parking lot.
Also the vehicle had a weak battery. It is not uncommon for a vehicle left in a
parking lot for several days during the winter not to start when the battery
strength is marginal.
* “Screeching noise
& rattling from back (truck falling apart?)”, In an email to me
[redacted] noted that she heard a noise from the front end as she drove away and
admittedly never heard the noise again. Seems like a non-issue to me. As far as
the rattling, the Toyota dealer repositioned an exhaust bracket on the opposite
side of the vehicle to cure the noise, the problem was unrelated to the loss
and so minor that it was done no-charge.
* “My insurance company
paid $5000 to repair the body of my vehicle”, No they did not. [redacted] paid
to repair & refinish the loss related damage down the left side of her
Highlander. To expect the “entire body” of a vehicle repaired & repainted
due to a collision loss to the left side is a highly inaccurate expectation.
* “My entire steering
was destroyed”. Not true. A steering system is made up of many parts, most
of these parts are subject to normal wear. When [redacted] looked at this
vehicle at the Toyota dealer they pointed out to him that the threads on the
inner tie rods on both sides of the vehicle were stripped and that they recommend
the tie rods be replaced. He agreed to this, unfortunately the tie rods on this
model are not serviced separate from the steering rack so the whole steering
rack was replaced at [redacted] Toyota.
* “Charged for tires
& rims that were never replaced”. The two alloy wheels on the LEFT side
of her vehicle showed loss related cosmetic scratches & scuffs on the outer
surface. The two damaged wheels were sent out to a local reconditioning shop
and repaired to like-new condition. This was confirmed in person by [redacted].
No wheels were ever replaced and none of the tires were damaged and/or
replaced. Also, no one was ever charged to replace any wheels and/or tires.
[redacted], please get back to me with your thoughts on
this complaint and any resolution.
Thank you, [redacted] @ Olender’s Body Shop ###-###-#### email: [redacted]

There are two different stories here. My vehicle was hit on the left side and it was pushed into a bank which is result of the damage on the right side. The dent and damage on the left was not on my vehicle prior to the accident. This whole situation has been a complete disaster and I am disgusted with the service brought forth by Olender's. From the moment I told my adjuster about the issues I should have been contacted by Olender's to rectify the issue. The paint on the left side has bubbles forming by the door handle which is absolutely disgusting.
