I am completely shocked at the slant that this customer is putting on this situationIt is not the way I do businessI do always ask for and receive a 50% depositI do and did not insist on cashThe customer has, and as in the past work I have done for them, paid in cash thinking that somehow they will "get a better deal"After my giving them a quote for work that we agreed to in the beginningThe customer continuously started adding on more work than what was agreed uponImplying that I just "throw it in while I am there"In which case I had to add on labor and gas money as this property involved a lengthy drive and therefor more time involved than what was expectedWhen the customer implied they would not pay anymore, I had to tell them I couldn't continue to operate that way and would have to gather up my equipment and move to my next job until we could agree on fair compensationWhen I arrived at the property I discovered that my approximately $worth of tools were goneI had purchased the paint as discussed and was prepared to leave it there until Mrs [redacted] informed me that Mr [redacted] had loaded all of my things into his personal vehicleAt which point this was shocking as they did not warn me that I was wasting more of my time and money as well as causing me to be delayed in moving on to my paying jobAfter I told them I would wanted to give them their paint back and would appreciate Mr [redacted] return my tools of my tradeHe informed me that he would only do so if I also returned $to him that he had agreed to give me for gasTo me this was very childish behavior to say the leastHowever I did agree to resolve it his (unfair) way just so I could be done with this nonsense and move on to next happy customers! Now to rceive this spiteful complaint is preposterous
I am completely shocked at the slant that this customer is putting on this situation. It is not the way I do business. I do always ask for and receive a 50% deposit. I do and did not insist on cash. The customer has, and as in the past work I have done for them, paid in cash thinking that somehow...
they will "get a better deal". After my giving them a quote for work that we agreed to in the beginning. The customer continuously started adding on more work than what was agreed upon. Implying that I just "throw it in while I am there". In which case I had to add on labor and gas money as this property involved a lengthy drive and therefor more time involved than what was expected. When the customer implied they would not pay anymore, I had to tell them I couldn't continue to operate that way and would have to gather up my equipment and move to my next job until we could agree on fair compensation. When I arrived at the property I discovered that my approximately $2000. worth of tools were gone. I had purchased the paint as discussed and was prepared to leave it there until Mrs [redacted] informed me that Mr [redacted] had loaded all of my things into his personal vehicle. At which point this was shocking as they did not warn me that I was wasting more of my time and money as well as causing me to be delayed in moving on to my paying job. After I told them I would wanted to give them their paint back and would appreciate Mr [redacted] return my tools of my trade. He informed me that he would only do so if I also returned $20. to him that he had agreed to give me for gas. To me this was very childish behavior to say the least. However I did agree to resolve it his (unfair) way just so I could be done with this nonsense and move on to next happy customers! Now to rceive this spiteful complaint is preposterous.
