Old Fort Western Store

Review: When we bought our child a helmet, Old Fort Western would not let us return it only an hour later! The same cashier was on site, but refused us a refundin fact, they refuse ALL customers refunds no matter what the circumstances are. Also, the floor staff were very unfriendly and offered only a negative answer in a flat tone with a frown when asked about the availability of more boot sizes. Apparently, the business would rather take our $53.95 plus tax and lose us as customers permanently than offer a refund, and now cannot benefit from the many horse riding supplies we would have bought during our child's childhood--which we will now be buying elsewhere.Desired Settlement: Refund for $53.95 plus tax for a helmet.

We have been in business for 21 years and our policy is No Refunds! Exchanges only! The customers was told they could exchange it for something else or a store credit which is good for a year. We apologize that this customer feels this way but we have had this policy since we opened. Our policy is displayed in our store plus it is on all of our receipts. When the helmet was returned they stated that they had bought one somewhere else so they didn't need this one. We gave them a store credit because the man that brought it back said he would have to go home and ask his wife what she wanted to do. They can exchange for anything it does not have to be a helmet.
