Customer brought in a Baboat with carburetor problemsCustomer had installed a new carburetor on this boat, but could not get it to run properlyWe attempted to make the needed adjustmentsWhen this failed we checked the engine timing.Next we removed the water/fuel filter and emptied the contents into a containerThe filter holds approximately ozand this filter was 2/water and only 1/fuelEngine will not run on waterThe filter will only capture most of the water, not all and any amount will cause the engine to run improperlyThis boat has many safety issue which need dealt with before we could do any additional work.1) exhaust system leaking fumes and spraying water into the engine compartment.Someone had wrapped duct tape around the damaged area. This will not pass United States Coast Guard safety inspection and Ohio Boat Works, LLC will not accept any liability for an unsafe watercraft.Furthermore, the stern drive unit will not raise and lower on its own power due to failed seals on one or both hydraulic cylinders.Lastly, customer wanted to barter/trade items for the needed repair workWe only accept cash, check or credit cards for payment. We have the water & fuel container saved for proof as well as documented photographs.Sincerely,Mike S*OHIO BOAT WORKS, LLCNational Rd SWReynoldsburg, Ohio 43068614-755-2600www.ohioboatworks.com
